Am I a racist?

Question

Since I and other anti-illegal folks here keep getting called racist, let me clarify for all you name callers.

I am 34 years old, I have blond hair and green eyes. My heritage is irish and american indian. I have dated two black men over the years, one mexican man and one of my closest friends is a young lady who is half black, half caucasion. I speak spanish fluently, cook great mexican food, and I can dance to mexican music. I learned to speak spanish from the mexicans in El Centro that lived in Mexico and worked in the restraunt with me, they had work visas and came across the border every day legally. I have a great working relationship with the Asian guy in our office, I think he is Cambodian, but he is adopted and not too sure of his nationality.

On the other hand, I want all illegal aliens deported TODAY! Yeah, go ahead, call me racist, when you do I would like to know exactly what race it is that I am racist against. Am I a racist? Against who?

For those of you that are calling me a racist, once again, please tell me which race I am racist against. Still waiting...yawn...

Racism defined by Webster.....The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

Defending and supporting the laws of your land against illegal invaders of another color, race or culture, aren't mentioned in this definition. HMMM, Either does this definition say anything about mentioning other races, colors, or cultures while having casual conversation.

Sheesh now we can't even say we have dated black people or have Asian friends without being called racist. What a bad day!

HMM I wonder...would they call an illegal supporter a racist if they mentioned having friends and relations with people of other race and color.

You may not be a racist, but you sure are intolerant....

Aren't you secure in your own self? Why do you care what others think?

Your never going to please everyone. Since you claim to embrace so much diversity, why have you made it your mission to want to deport these people for seeking a better life? Did you choose where you were born? No, neither did an illegal from Mexico or any other south or central American country.

Why the animosity against this group of people? Where is your tolerance and diversity?

To me it doesn't seem that you are a racist. In truth I have no problem with "illegal" immigrants as national borders are a construct of man. When mankind migrated out of Africa and into the world there were no borders and that makes us all citizens of the world. You have a right to your opinion. Keep in mind that your ancestors (the Irish part) did not have the same problems coming to the United States as there were not so many restrictions back then.

There is only one race it is called the Human Race.

Interesting...same problem I have had...and I am a first generation immigrant and I still want all illegal immigrants deported. If I work hard and pay taxes, I do not want that money to be spent on supporting illegal immigrants WHO DON'T PAY TAXES.

No, you are not a racist. And I don't understand why does it bother you when others call you so. People are label you no matter what. Some people will agree with what you think and some people will always disagree with you no matter what you think.

My BEST friend is part Mexican, one of my other close friends is full blooded Mexican, my other close friend is Filipino, and finally my other close friend is white... No you are not racist! We just want people who enter this country to do it legally and to stop ramming it down our throat that somehow we owe the people of Mexico something. It's a two way street when you have millions of people in the country illegally laughing and smiling about our immigration laws and saying we stoled Texas and Calif and they do every single job in America that Americans want do and every single white person is lazy and fat.Lately I noticed we are now even allergic to the sun, it's gone from low paying jobs to now high paying jobs such as recently noticed building of homes,building highways all these so called jobs, America want do and you know that is simply not true.People in this country are not going to find these kind of people very like-able and it doesn't matter what race they are. We just want people who enter this country to do so legally and learn English and start pulling their weight. As it is the people of Mexico have not helped their cause very much by yelling and screaming and pointing fingers at us and calling us racist when they focus primarily into making this into a war-- the white people against the people of Mexico.The people of Mexico created their own fate and reality here, don't blame us when your plans go bad and you start grasping at straws, stop calling us racist .To add futher. On CNN it showed massive illegals marched the streets and held protests in Chicago, the illegal aliens are demanding the stopage of deportion of Mexico citizens and WANT IT NOW

I don't think your a racist...in fact I don't really care if you are....YOU don't affect me personally.

BUT......*hmm clearing throat".....when you mention that all "Mexican" babies should be taken away from their parents at birth and given up for adoption....you may harbor some resentments.....simply because you ONLY mentioned "Mexican" babies.

ALSO.....*clearing throat*.....when you refer to "Mexicans" only when discussing illegal immigration, you may have some issues that need addressed.....but who am I to say.

TO END.....some things I have learned since marrying the most beautiful black man in Texas are the following:

When we meet new people who are uncomfortable with inter-racial relationships BUT want to look like they aren't......we usually hear the following: "I have a great black neighbor, we love hip-hop, we have NO bad black kids at our school".......this automatically tells us......this person is uncomfortable with THIS and is using STEREOTYPICAL references to make themselves and us feel better. You just did that in your rant about yourself and your "friends of many colors"......you don't have to point out what color they are.....why can't they just be your FRIENDS.

Na. you are not racist. Many people have the same view points about undocumented immigrants, and it has nothing to do with being a racist. the truth is undocumented immigrants will always be a problem for this country; they will always find a way to come here to find jobs. Did you know there are major corporations like Cargill and others are major employers of undocumented immigrants that have had lobbied congress not to pass stiff immigration reform laws? because they want these people to harvest their farming fields and whatever else.

Anyways you're not racist, you are just a concerned citizen.

No not at all, you want those people to pay taxes just like you do so that we the paying people don't have to keep footing the bill when they go to the hospital in labor, or when they get in a driving accident without a license and the insurance company's hit up our rates to help cover the cost. I don't give a hoot if they're black, white, yellow, purple ,brown ,orange, green or blue. I want them to PAY TAXES like the rest of the American People do. Doesn't help to learn english either or at least attempt to if your planning on stealing the Tax payers money.
