Before everyone gets their underwear in a bunch research and know this was all to prove a point by the student. I'm wondering though, in my sense of humor, if there are any people that truly call themselves "members." As in, their names are on a roster somewhere and what the benefits have been, if any, other than a laugh.

when you say flying spaghetti, you need to be more specific. are you using spaghetti in the general tradional term, or are you covering a wide array of pastas such as Angel Hair and Linguini?

I think this is critical in determining membership counts.

In all polling, it is critical that the audience understands the question being asked.

Equally important is determining the type of topping, or if a topping is allowed. Personally, I am a parmesan, garlic and olive oil guy, but most perfer tradional marinara.

Once you have determined the specifics, I will be in a better position to convey my opinion.

I would find it hard to fear limp pasta, winged or not.

Or is it a Flying UNCOOKED Spaghetti Monster? In which case I would definitely fear it, and so would then find a need to worship it too, and build a religion around it. Which I wouldn't have to do, because there already is one, complete with rules and all.

So which is it? Cooked or uncooked? My future is riding on this!

Sounds interesting, but I may prefer the Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalype cult instead.

I am a member, it's really just a petition though, a movement, in order to get the FSMonster taught in schools, along side creationism and evolution. It is a real movement, and shows how ludicrous it is to teach any type of "God" based theory in school, unless you are gonna teach all "God" based theories.

P.S. It is apparent that this meaning is lost on 90% of the idiots on Yahoo!

as you said, it's there to make a point, so the benefits are just that.
if it gets creationism out of american schools the benefits are more than a laugh.

No. The FSM is too superior to this dimension to be worshipped by mere mortals.
