I dont think its shocking, i think the problem is that that person has alot of different ideas and thoughts than you do. That person was 36 years old when you were ten. That person was probably having sex before you were born. You need to realize that its wierd and most relationships like this wont work. The older you get the more set in your ways you are! The harder it will become! You need to be aware of these things!

There is nothing shocking about that. If you love someone and they love you & it clicks, the hell with what others think if you are of age and not a minor.

Because they are old and wrinkled. The young person must have a mother/father complex and the old person is a perv and has enough money to keep the young person interested. They probably deserve each other.

Because people's view of life changes considerably as you age.
You also become more set in your ways and mindset.

It scares me to date someone about my daddy's age... I could almost see him as my dad and that's the scary part.

i don't think it is so bad, by sister is married to a guy 23 years older than she is and they seem very happy.
