I'm not saying all Muslims are violent or nutters.. I have friends who are Muslims and I do respect the religion and everything but Osama, D. Ibrahim, M. Mansoor Ali and all terrorist names I hear are Muslim ones. Why do you think this is the way that it is?

Again, I have nothing against Islam or Muslims but I just couldn't help but notice.

WHen there is hate, terrorism is not so far!

again Quran in no place says to kill the Christians or Jews... we call you our brothers/allies and our faith is not complete without accepting Jesus as a great Prophet.

Christians and Jews are people of BOOK and they are not non-believers... by non-beleivers we mean the people who do not believe in GOD!!

Read this [A letter from Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H)]
translation:

This is a message from Muhammad ibn Abdullah, as a covenant to those who adopt Christianity, near and far, we are with them.
Verily I, the servants, the helpers, and my followers defend them, because Christians are my citizens; and by Allah! I hold out against anything that displeases them.
No compulsion is to be on them.
Neither are their judges to be removed from their jobs nor their monks from their monasteries.
No one is to destroy a house of their religion, to damage it, or to carry anything from it to the Muslims' houses.
Should anyone take any of these, he would spoil God's covenant and disobey His Prophet. Verily, they are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate.
No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight.
The Muslims are to fight for them.
If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray.
Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants.
No one of the nation (Muslims) is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day (end of the world).

The human race can be termed as being crudely simplistic at times....even though we are blessed with a higher form of intelligence than most other living species, we like to keep things on a simple and basic level rather than delve into the depth of their complexities....this is the main reason why whenever terrorism is mentioned, the term "muslim" or "islamic" is automatically attached to it....the world fails to look at any other form of explanations because here it find itself with one label that it could constantly use to condemn and malign....the idea that most terrorists are muslims or that all muslims are terrorists is just as ridiculous and asinine as it is ignorant. The media has constantly barraged the islamic community by associating numerous events to its name even when it cannot truly be proven who the perpretators of the incidence were. As others have mentioned there are so many different groups who have also partaken in activities of terrorism such as the IRA, KKK, Tamil Tigers, Hindutva extremists, etc....yet, one is slow to realize this aspect of terrorism simply because there isnt the tag of "muslim" or "islamic" attached to it....it is about time that people stop viewing things from the narrow confines of simplistic analysis and start looking at, thinking about, and realizing that terror has many faces and those whoa are quick to stigmatize it with one group's name are the ones who are most unfortunately cursed with a truly incapable and incompetent degree of intelligence.

it implies that fox news is doing it's job well in presenting biased news, and that there are muslims in the world whose lives are being adversely affected enough by governments that they feel they are powerless against but have nothing left to lose, except not taking a stand against whatever their percieved injustices are, and they need to find another way to fight the powers that be, cause terrorism just breeds more hatred and intolerance, there are terrorists of other religions and nationalities ,we have American terrorists, the ku klux klan, aryan nation types have killed others and burned down churches that killed innocent Americans ,decades ago, and American terrorists who have blown up the federal building and others who are basically ignored by the media ,while another group gets heavy attention, if you take a sociology or sociological statistics class, you will learn that most violent crimes are committed by white men, however when you turn on your television or read your newspaper you will only hear or see stories about the violent criminals who are black men and you will also learn that white women ,unwed are the biggest receivers of welfare, but all you hear about are the mexican and black recipients who are abusing the welfare system, which is not true it is the white women ,this same concept applies to your terrorist observations,

hello???

to answer your question, the obvious reason is the media. second of all, if you read history, you would see terrorists with different beliefs as well (ex. Tamil Tigers, etc.)

in addition, dont be too quick into calling someone a terrorist. no doubt what ossama did does not represent true Islam. but you should read both sides of the story. it is hard to imagine what kind of circumstances one lived as a child to be willing to accept such kind of ideology. some of these people have witnessed the killing of their brothers/sisters, and are desperate, hence they might be vulnerable to extreme measures for revenge.

but to be quick, Islam literally means peace so to whoever here says that the main reason is the values taught by Islam needs actually read about it or ask or visit a mosque(which you are welcomed to).

What this proves is that the media is very quick to attach the word 'Muslim' to the word 'terrorist.' But as you know, not all terrorists are Muslims - there are terrorists in the IRA - but funny, they aren't called 'Christian terrorists' even though they are, in fact, Christian...

And peaceful Muslims denounce the actions of terrorists and do not consider them true Muslims...

This implies that you haven't looked at world terrorism in general. The IRA are responsible for atrocities in Mainland UK and Northern Ireland and they're catholic not Muslim.

These people live in cultures and societies that believe violence is the only way to get their message across. The Christians used to be this way too at one time.

In the Qur'an, it says to kill non-believers which includes Christians and Jews, not just atheists. It's as simple as that.
