I am interested in what everyone thinks about the world population.
I have asked two answers.yahoo.com questions on this subject

2)Will the human population stabilize soon or will it soon (30 to 50 years or so) exceed 9 billion? How ? Why?

Those questions are still open for 3 and 5 more days as of july 19

I like the idea of an open forum on this subject and have not found one yet.

Create a group on yahoo or msn. If you go to the yahoo home page, there is a rectangle that lists all the yahoo services (it's towards the top) Click on 'groups' and then follow the instructions to create a group. As owner of the group, you have all rights to moderate and post whatever you see fit. Good luck!

The most recent Census Bureau projections provide insight into the likely effect of immigration on population growth throughout this century. According to the Census Bureau’s middle-range projections, if current trends continue, the U.S. population will grow to 404 million by 2050. If there were no immigration, these same projections indicate that the U.S. population would be 328 million (76 million fewer) in 2050. This means that immigration will account for about 63 percent of U.S. population growth over the next 50 years
