Isaiah 34:14, describing the desolation of Edom, is the only occurrence of Lilith in the Hebrew Bible:

Hebrew (ISO 259): pagšu ṣiyyim et-ʾiyyim w-saʿir ʿal-rēʿhu yiqra ʾakšam hirgiʿah lilit u-maṣʾah lah manoḫ
morpho-syntactic analysis: "yelpers meet-[perfect] howlers; hairy-ones cry-[imperfect] to fellow. liyliyth reposes-[perfect], acquires-[perfect] resting-place."
KJV: "The wild beasts of the desert shall also meet with the wild beasts of the island, and the satyr shall cry to his fellow; the screech owl also shall rest there, and find for herself a place of rest."

From the Talmud, you know, some ideas from that religion you stole your background story from, christians:

"Rab Judah citing Samuel ruled: If an abortion had the likeness of Lilith its mother is unclean by reason of the birth, for it is a child but it has wings." (Niddah 24b)

"R. Hanina said: One may not sleep in a house alone [in a lonely house], and whoever sleeps in a house alone is seized by Lilith." (Shabbath 151b)

"[Expounding upon the curses of womanhood] In a Baraitha it was taught: She grows long hair like Lilith, sits when making water like a beast, and serves as a bolster for her husband." (‘Erubin 100b)

The passage in Genesis 1:27 — "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female he created them" (before describing a mate being made of Adam's rib and being called Eve in Genesis 2:22) is sometimes believed to be an indication that Adam had a wife before Eve

Because whenever they would have sex, Adam always wanted to be on top and make Lilith be on the bottom. But Lilith didn't like that, she didn't like being put in an inferior position all the time, it was her belief that man & woman are equal, but Adam believed himself superior to her because he was man. For the trouble she caused, Adam didn't want her anymore and God cast her out from the Garden of Eden, where she became the mother of all demons.
Then God created Eve, the perfect little fembot to cater to Adam's every whim and his over-inflated ego, always the one to be on the bottom.

edit* Lilith is a female Mesopotamian night demon believed to harm male children. In Isaiah 34:14, Lilith (לִּילִית, Standard Hebrew Lilit) is a kind of night-demon or animal
She is often identified as the first wife of Adam and sometimes thought to be the mother of all incubi and succubi, a legend that arose in the Middle Ages .

There is no mention of Adam having a previous wife in the Bible. I think that you are refering to a gnositc or apocriphal book that says that Adam had a wife before Eve. The Bible is the word of God. Therefore, it is factual and true. Gnostic or apocriphal books are not the word of God. They should not be believed. They were regected around 300 AD by church fathers. This has not changed.

I heard about this too and I know about Lilith. He rejected her because she wanted to be dominant and Adam did not like that, so Adam asked God for a wife who would not be dominant. This is one part of the Bible I hated because men and women are equals. One should not be dominant over the other.

no you're just wrong. By your logic you can make up all kinds of stuff from the bible. He did not have a wife called lilith who was his first wife. eve was and that's it. read the bible and dont get it twisted.

also he did not have a wife made out of the earth like he did ever! th eonly women was made from his rib called eve and she was made to be completely equal to adam because she was the oppostie of adam and they were completely equal.

Because she, being made of the dust of the earth as he was, knew that she was equal to him and would not submit to being second to him. So she was kicked out, and became a demon, and God made Eve out of Adam's rib so that he's have a nice, meek little helper.

Sickening, isn't it?

The story of Lillith is an apocryphal story from the middle ages. It isn't even mentioned in the Bible. But here is some info on it.

The Zorastic myth of Lillith has that she would not submit to Adam, and considered herself his equal. Thus Adam rejected her, God put Adam to sleep, made Eve from him and thus submissive to him, and woke Adam.
