You can just move to France.
Do you have a work permit?
Do you speak French.?
I suggest aim for three months, bring enought cash.
Then you make a decision.

Hi, i'm a french guy, for the beginning, come to visit France for holidays, and if you like it...you can stay, but the only thing i can say to you, that life is very different from u.s.a. One of my dream before was to life in u.s.a but i don't have the green card. If you want to change, i give you my place....lol
Learn french because nobody here want to speak english...first thing to have to know!! The food is great, i wish you have a lot of money because life's expensive in France.
The good side to live in France is that you are near from different countrys with different language and culture, United Kingdom ( yeah! you can speak english!) Spain, Italy, Germany, Africa.....

Good luck

You shoul go to france, just in hollydays, to begin.

French people are know to complain a lot, and i think it's true.
I think they don't want to adapt to people. I mean, if you come to france, don't believe that you could speak english in the everyday life.
But there's many advantages : they work less than americans. 35 hours a week, they have more hollydays.
The is one of the best of the world, and there's many things to visit.
All the members of the family eat together, at precises hours. (12am or 1pm and 7 or 8pm).

It sounds like you want to run away from what you don't like about your life.

You don't really want to go to France. How could you want to go somewhere you know nothing about?

If you need a change in your life it needs to come from within.

Sure a change of scenery can be nice or a vacation to get away from things is okay too.

Do you even speak French?

It is one thing to move to life's next adventure ... it is another thing to run away from things instead of facing them.

If you are going to move to make changes in your life, try moving somewhere you know ... otherwise, you may just be burdening yourself with more stress and difficulties.

i'm agree with the one who said go 1st in vacation there. It's difficult to move to anotehr country and the only way to know if it'll fit with your life is to try. But don't go there with no idea of what you want to do. you could end under a bridge.

WHY?

You'll find out the French attitude toward Americans rather quickly if you do make the move.

Just because Johnny Depp lives there now doesn't mean Americans in general should relocate there.

Better to make your mistakes at home, where you can speak the language and know the laws.

If you're rich enough to afford the trip, don't hesitate, move!
