Number one , the bible says All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The bible says also that he is no respecter of persons: meaning that he views each person as equal to another. To God a Pastor or Priest is the same as a new convert.
Now sometimes someone who has experienced things in their lives can be more able to teach in that area, and that is why at times God allows us to do some things in our lives, because he plans on using that experience to help others. One should try to find a Pastor or Priest that Loves the Lord , and the fruits of the Spirit can be seen in them.( love, joy, kindness etc) God only seeks a willing vessel, one that says pick me LOrd I will go , I will teach.

There is not a pastor on the earth who has never sinned. None. Not one. Will not ever be!

Let Jesus be your "hero"; He has never sinned and shows you the way!

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

I will follow a Pastor who is honest and humble and who preaches/teaches the word of truth out of the Bible.

I have no false expectations that he is "better" than me or anyone else. He's just a regular guy, just like me, just like you. Pastors who get elevated to celebrity status generally take a long, hard tumble at some point.

Pray for the pastor you have and don't waste any effort looking for the "perfect" pastor.

A pastor who claims he has not sinned is telling lies. I could never follow someone like that. We are all sinners and have all sinned.

A pastor who has sinned and been forgiven (regardless of the nature of the sin) can identify with what we are going through. He knows the struggles of the heart. Personally a 'pristine' hero as you put it, is no hero at all. How can you be a hero without getting your hands dirty?

If there was a pastor who has never sinned at all, he'd be worth following -- because he'd probably be the Second Coming of Jesus!

But as it is, there's absolutely no such thing as a sinless pastor.

I'm Catholic and none of our priests or bishops is sinless -- not even the Pope! But that doesn't mean they can't be good shepherds of their people, of course.

There aren't any Pastor's who haven't sinned, as is stated above. I love honesty, it's very refreshing. I always like it when a Pastor admits problems with things, and we can know they struggle like we do. I live with a Pastor, and I can say tho, that he has a handle on most things.
My husband is held to a higher level then just anyone else, because he is the leader. He doesn't struggle with many of the things that others do, but he does have his struggles. He admits them, and asks for prayer. Between him and I, there aren't too many things we haven't been thru, and I pray that this is a good ministry.

That is impossible, everyone has sinned. But I think that most people want wounded heros so that they can identify with them. It makes it easier to understand that greatness does not equal perfection. Besides what kind of leader could any one be having never experienced the agony of defeat followed by the joy of rising from the ashes, victorious???

There is no such thing as a paster who has not sinned at all...that's just absurd, we're all human and human's sin. So I would definitely be more likely to respect a guy who has committed wrongs and admits to them than I guy who claims he's never done anything wrong in his entire life, yes.

There is no such thing, we all sin no matter what, even Jesus has sinned. That what Jesus died for right was to forgive all are sins. Because there is no such thing as perfect.

First off, there is no preachers or any other humans that can claim not to have sinned. So that sort of blows your question.

We all have sinned and have come short. The one who has repented seems to know that and has and will be forgiven.
