I completely understand eatting disorders. My roommate in college had one. One semester, she just started to disappear. She went from a size 6 down to a size 0 in a month because she quit eatting and puked up everything that she did eat. She didn't get better until she started feeling better about herself. You need to focus in on what you like about yourself. I know, it's really hard, but try. Make a list of everything that you are great at. Then, when you start to feel down, look at that list. Because you have had an eatting disorder before, you will never like the look of your body. It's just something that you're always going to feel. You're always going to feel fat, even if you're not. But, if you can divert that attention to something that you think that you are great at, then that might help you. Please stay at a healthy weight and remember that your idea that you are fat is just in your mind. Love yourself for your best qualities and eat healthy:)

Hi I've been there myself, I'm 5'6 and when I was 16 I weighed 7 stones and thought I was so fat! Felt incredibly guilty about eating anything and then became bulimic when I was 18 and couldn't do anything about it for at least seven years (I'm 27 now and weigh just under 10 stones) and I think that only someone who's done it knows what it's like. Find something that you like or enjoy doing - whether it's sports or something creative - that's what helped me to get away from all this! Although it may sound like replacing one addiction by another, it's well worth trying. Chin up, you're not on your own x

Sounds to me like you have an eating disorder. Did you know that your body goes into 'starvation mode' if you don't feed it properly? Your metabolism slows so that it doesn't use up precious calories. You don't lose weight. You probably know that you don't need to lose weight. Why don't you start eating properly and exercise? That is the natural and only way to achieve and maintain a good and healthy body - end of story. It also lifts your mental attitude.
You know all the answers already. Attractive = healthy, not skinny.

Well all I can say is to find some people who love you no matter what and talk to them. There is no way to stop wanting to be thinnner but there are ways to understand why. Most people would suggest a therapist but I've been to plenty and none of them have helped me as much as talking with some of my best gal pals. If you feel nervous about talking about the issue with your friends, I know this sounds corney but make a game out of it. Play truth or dare at a party with people you love. As they start to loosen up tell them whats up and just start talking. I know it sounds stupid but I really think starting out fun is the easiest way to talk about something upsetting. But dont worry, you'll figure it out. Just keep those who love you close and a little weight on and everything will be perfect. And just to let you know, I think it looks a lot worse to be anorexic then a little chubby (and it sounds like your leaning towards anorexic). Good luck sweet heart and you'll do fine!

Girl, maybe you should get some counseling your obviously reaching out to the public now just take the final step and get yourself help. I don't have an eating disorder and probably never will so I can't quite understand what you’re going through, but it sounds like some counseling may help you figure out that you look fine just the way you are.

You have anorexia. Or why don't you ask a doctor what is a healthy weight for you (or a nutritionist?), it differs from how tall you are and to see if you have a problem. Starving yourself to lose weight will only have your body eat yourself (fat and muscles) to just function and lower your immune system. You may want to see a psychologist maybe. See a professional before you end up hurting yourself in a bad way.

You are right; eating disorders are serious. Talk to a trusted adult (parent, aunt, teacher) and get some counseling. YahooAnswers is not the place for this type of concern. Best of luck.
