You know, somehow, given all the mass murderes, child rapists, drug dealers, slaver traders, etc. in the world, I seriously doubt that God would really, specifically deicde to zap a 16 year old Russian girl who was wearing a cross.
The mind boggling injustice of what you are suggesting would be so tremendously unjust that such a god would not be worthy of worship, or even reference.

God has got a little testy as we get closer to the end time. After all, this is going to be one big production - what with all the trumpeting, Armageddon, 4 horse guys, the smiting of the evil, etc. It's just not that easy to coordinate the end of the world. So I think we have to forgive Him for an occasional stray bolt of lightning or Tsunami.
