You are only seeing the outside - he/she could be the perfect soulmate for your child (and parents do not know what happens within their childrens relationships).
You will never know your child's partner they way they do! Sorry but you have to get used to that.
Surely its better to be with someone who makes you happy, who may not be stunning - than say someone who is stunning and beats the living daylights out of you behind closed doors?

I think my son picked the sweetest cutest girl ever!!!! Even if she were ugly which she isnt- as long as he loves her and she treats him great then who cares???? He is the one who has to be happy with her not me. i know it would be nice if they would all pick someone gorgeous but they are all not that way! She is also a great little girl on the inside! Ill be proud to call her daughter in law in the future

no it would not put me off, because i will beleive that my children are able to find great partners for themselves, and if they are truly happy with who THEY have chosen,then everything is peachy.
