My cat is quite old and unable to clean himself as well as he used to. Can I use baby wipes to clean him, or pet wipes only? There are no pet stores close to me, so its just easier to get baby wipes, but I'm not sure if thats in any way harmful to a cat? Thanks.

If I were you I wouldn't use baby wipes on you cat. I wouldn't use any human products on cat without asking your vet first. I have four cats of my own and I use cat wipes that you can find at any pet supply store.

No - use pet wipes (if you need wipes at all) Pet wipes are especially made for cats with ingredients that will not harm a cat if it licks the residue from the wipes off its fur. You can't be sure a baby wipe is safe for cats as will a baby really lick all over its skin? No.

Do not use the Huggies wipes on cats! I used them on my kittens when they would get food on their paws and under their chin. They lost all of their fur in every area that the wipe touched. Not worth it.

I've used the non perfume matural ones on my cat... Pampers brand and she's been great. Some dollar store sell special pet ones and I've bought them as well.

just buy the ones without alcohol in them. i use them all the time to clean my cat's claws and i used them when i dog was an indoor/outdoor dog to clean his feet and back when he came inside. no harm done. plus i use the in the interrior of my car. they are handy little things. just get them without alcohol... cause it dries skin, leather and such

I am sure if you use the hypo allergic kind they would be very gentle and safe for your cat. Good Luck with him.
