It's like this, brother. Christians believe without the slightest doubt that only their way through Christ will take a soul to heaven. All other paths lead to the lake of fire, and believe me, the lake of fire is supposed to be nasty this time of year. Every person they meet...the stranger in the grocery store, people on the beach, anyone trapped in the elevator with them...must be made aware of this undeniable truth. It is their sacred duty. Plus, in the afterlife, if they bring over 100 souls to Jesus, they get a free t shirt... Over 10,000 souls, they get the purple Lexus. Oh yeah? What does your God promise you? What color is your Lexus?

Every Christian knows that someday, when they are on the right hand of God, they will spend a few moments of regret for every person they could of saved but didn't because it seemed like it would have been rude or inconvenient to bother someone in their freefall to hell. Jesus will shrug, "Eh, ya can't save 'em all..Have a cookie. One of the Marys baked 'em."

Because they actually care. Christians believe that unbelievers will burn forever in a fiery lake. They care about you and do not want that for you, that is why they try to teach you faith. If you do not want to hear it, be kind and let them know.

A better question would be "Why do Atheists think they can teach Christians to not believe?" They can't care what happens to a Christian when the Christian dies because from an Atheist point of view it doesn't matter what you believe, nothing is what awaits us all when we die. I often wonder why Atheist see so set in convincing others to believe there is no God, because it really shouldn't matter to them what anyone believes.

As a Christian I know of the burden we feel as we see someone, who could be in danger of not receiving Heaven as their eternal reward, but rather Hell. A lot ( not all) of Christians know this by studying the word, and by viewing the fruits of the spirit. The bible says to test the Spirits.to see if they are of God.
Though we can not teach faith, because Faith is believing something you might not see or hear. Faith is the substance hoped for. That takes God"s intervention, but as Christians we are called to try to teach what we know , Jesus taught this.

That is what you have to ask one that is trying to teach. I used to attend Bible study i am a Christian and I feel many people see it that way whwen some times the person might be discussing or sharing. I know i have not really taught at or preached at anyone just told them how I felt about my faith is that a crime?

You can't teach faith to a non-believer, you can simply report the good news of reconciliation to God through His son Jesus Christ. We are commanded to share the good news in order to fulfill the great commission: that the gospel would be preached to all the earth.

Grace and peace to you.

I don't think I can teach it, I just believe that everyone has a measure of faith.

It's their duty as a true expression of their faith, devotion and love to God. Thats what John 3:16 is all about.

We don't necessarily think we "can" teach non-believers, but we are commanded, (by Jesus), to go out into all the world and teach the "good news" to all of mankind... that's all!
All are free to either accept or reject the message.

I'm very happy that you don't have faith or believe in it. Don't wanna teach it to you, nonbelievers! You wouldn't understand it like everything else. Moving on......
