I sold on eBay full time for 1-1/2 years while I was unemployed a couple years ago. I worked this just like a full time job - 8+ hours a day, and kept very good records. I also went to the post office, and mailed my products out right away. I have EXCELLENT feedback.
I started out liquidating my craft supplies. I had a small craft business some years ago, and my garage was still full of various supplies. Once I finished that, several friends who had vast amounts of product commissioned me to sell their stuff. I did this for a 40% commission.
I averaged about $500. per week selling my items.
