Can anyone tell me how to do this? I am starting to feel like it was a waste to get the program cause its so darn confusing

The tutorials are great, do avail yourself of them.

However, there is an inexpensive book available that might get you started fastest. It's only $10 US. You can get it at Barnes and Noble.

It is called "In Easy Steps -- Photoshop Projects"
Make sure that is the one you get ... as the other ones they have are for the more recent versions ... but this book gives good info back a few versions, and it is so easy to follow and learn from!
It's the best starter book I have seen.

Enjoy!!

I would recommend one of the programs below if you are just getting into digital imaging. Photoshop is a professional level program with a steep learning curve. I would recommend taking a course in it at a local community college or buying several books on the subject.

this program has alot of features and tools no one can teach you in yahoo answers how to use it, you need to buy a book there they will teach you everithing you need to know starting from the basics, if you put the time into it, you'll get the hang of it and be good, but it takes time and patience it's an awesome program and you can do tons of stuff with it.

Photoshop is a very powerful yet complicated tool. I bet it includes tutorials on how to do what you want but it's not a simple thing like ms paint.
