Because in Texas they can't tell the difference between cows and other game. And if **** is anywhere around they even paint wife and the wife's back and kids on the kids back just to cover all bases.

Haha! They actually do that? I'll have to ask my Texas friends. I think thats kinda funny. Maybe they do it for hunting purposes? So, hunters know its a cow and not some other animal. Do they hunt in Texas?

Actually, students and alumni from the University of Oklahoma "Boomer Sooners" are the ones that painted "COW" in red paint on all the texas cows. It stands for Cheese on Wheels.

I live in Texas and have Not seen this painted on the cows around here. Maybe you should check this out with a cattle rancher. Maybe just one rancher has done this, I don't know.

Its a rarley used technique to insure deer hunters don't accidently shoot cows mistaken for deer.
