My mother tongue is punjabi and I am living in UK. Have to speak English all the time but never miss the chance my language when a Punjabi customer walks in our office. Just wondering how manyy non english people do the same.

arabic, I dont go abroad alot, but if I go I suppose the country I will go to will speak arabic

My mother tongue is polish. Now i am in Ireland so i speak English all the time. Only sometimes when i meet polish people i have a chance to speak my language

My mother tongue is Portuguese.
I live in Brazil, which i why, I practice it a lot.
But if I lived in other country I wouldn't miss a chance to speak my language.

My mother tongue is Urdu. = )
but since i live in the United States, i mostly have to speak english
but whenever i see someone from pakistan/india, i don't miss the chance to speak in urdu
and i speak urdu at home to improve it.
= )
my opinion: Mother tongues are HELLA important

my mother tongue is also punjabi and i absolutely love speaking in punjabi...I live in US so at work I have to speak in english but I speak in punjabi with my parents and friends...

ahha..i know what you mean. I'm malay, my mother tongue is malay, but whenever i go abroad and meet other malays it's always good to exchange a few malay words too.

i am from India. my mother tongue is Telugu. now, i am u.s. i used to talk in mother tongue who ever comes across knowing my mother tongue.
