If you have the option, take advanced. This will hopefully prepare you for college level courses that may be offered during high school and any of those that you can get out of the way, do it!

It depends on what you are ready for. Since I am not aware of your abilities, I can't answer the question. However, I can give you some information that can guide your decision.
If you are an advanced-level student, and you take regular-level courses, you might find yourself bored. This could cause you to lose interest in the subject, which actually might have the result that you stop paying attention so much that you stop learning, and do poorly in the class. It's not a guarantee that you'll easily pass a lower-level class if you're ready for the advanced one.
If you take an advanced-level class, you will be expected to do more difficult work, so you'll want to balance that with how much time you want to spend on other things, like other classes, and extracurricular activities. If I were in high school again, I think I would take the opportunity to participate in many of the more fun activities like choir, drama, and so forth than I did, because usually high school is the only chance that most people have to do these things.
Advanced Placement classes are good because, if you pass the test at the end of the year with a sufficiently high score, many colleges and universities will allow that score on the AP test to replace one of your required classes. However, it depends on the requirements of your major. If you choose an AP class that isn't required by your major, that class will count towards you as college credit, but won't help you to graduate any faster. So take AP in perspective, and choose carefully which AP classes you will take, based on what you plan to study in college.
In short, I recommend that you make your decision to take regular or advanced classes based on how much time you want to spend on coursework and how much time you want to spend on other things. Assuming you are on track for college, there is plenty of time to study college-level courses in college. Don't feel the need to take advanced classes just because other people think you should. However, if you are interested in the academic challenge, advanced and AP classes are very satisfying.

If you made good grades in 8th grade (As and Bs), try advanced. Or see if you can take a combination: English and history were easy for me so I took advanced, but math and science were more challenging so I took standard. Often, teachers of advanced classes are better which can be a huge help. Try asking some people who recently completed 9th grade at YOUR school (maybe the older siblings of some of your friends or neighbors). Good luck with freshman year!

I took advanced classes in 9th grade and it is a little more work than regular classes. But it also prepares you for the future years in high school. Good Luck!!!

Normally I would say take the advanced courses, but BE CAREFUL. Advanced classes are a double-edged sword. If the courses are too tough for you it can have a negative impact on your grade point average, and that's the biggest thing colleges look at when you apply. However, it looks better when applying for college if you took advanced courses, especially if you get good grades. So if you decide to take the advanced courses, commit yourself to doing whatever it takes to get top-notch grades in those classes. Good luck!

Think about what kind of grades you have made in the past, how well you like to study and how well you like school. Advanced classes for those students who want to do all these things.

YOU SHOULD LOOK AT YOURSELF AND YOUR 8TH STANDARD GRADES. IF YOU ARE AVERAGE OR BELOW GO FOR THE REGULAR ONES SINCE THEY DO NOT OVERBURDEN YOU WITH EXTRA STUFF. BUT IF YOU ARE GOOD ON THOSE GRADES GO AHEAD JOIN THE ADVANCED COURSES.
