The question was, "if god created humankind WHO CREATED GOD?"

The answer I gave was:
"Think about this. I've seen this question before, and I answered it, so I'm going to answer you the same way, only in different words.
God has always existed, the same way time has always existed. Before there was man around to classify time into seconds, minutes, hours, and days, time existed. God didn't need anyone to try to classify It, much the same way that time didn't need anyone to exist."
Seriously, does this make me a hypocrite? Was I not nice? What?
Once you can comprehend time, you can comprehend God. By the way, it probably won't happen. I've spent twelve years trying to comprehend time, and though I'm closer than others, in the scheme of things I've barely begun.

You're a hypocrite if you don't stand by what you believe. It's obvious to anyone halfway paying attention that you are the farthest thing from a hypocrite; and your existential rumination is an intriguing one.

I would also like to point out that both Time and God are immensely misunderstood concepts, and that too many of us approach contemplations of these things from a flawed or inaccurate assumption.

Time and God both exist whether you like them or not. God does not NEED for you like it, nor does God NEED worship. God exists, even if God is limited to existence as little more than an abstract noun--an idea, just as time exists in a similarly abstract way: at least at its core. And I think the best way to understand either of those things is to look at WHY we need them.

Before anything was created, He wasn't even really "GOD", because a 'god' is an object of worship.
He was just 'I AM'.
He is the source and substance of all things.
He is the author of creation.
So nothing could have created Him...because before anything existed, He existed.
He is existance.
To say that someone or something created Him, would be the same as saying that a previous universe ctreated our's.
It would make no sense.
There has to be a starting point.
Something atheists refuse to admit.
Besides, you cannot have a false, without there first being a true.
In other words, you cannot make a copy without the original first existing.
This proves the existance of God.

i dont think ur a hypocrit. i am an atheiest and u askes basically the same question what came first the chicken or the egg. there is no direct answer. because u have to have an egg to make a chicken and a chicken to lay the egg. as soon as earth was made time began but where did this "god" come from? time has always bin here but god has not. there is no staight answer to who created god either. evolution is basically the only way u could explain this but even evolution couldnt explain where the animals came from. u have no complete and logical explanation but ur not a hypocrit

This was actually addressed in the cosmological arguments that attempted to prove the existence of God. There are two main forms, called the kalam and the contingency arguments. The first one says that everything that has a beginning in time has a cause (basically a creator) to its existence. So, it reasoned that the universe has such a beginning and its cause is God; however, it says that since God has no beginning, He doesn't need to have a cause. The second arguments posits that everything that is contingent (i.e. exists but didn't have to exist, as opposed to necessary things) has a cause to its existence. It says that since the universe is contingent, it has a cause of God, while God is necessary and not contingent, so doesn't have to have a cause.
There are some problems with these arguments, though. They give arbitrary conditions for what needs a cause to its existence, and equally arbitrary definitions for God (i.e. He has no existence in time, is not contingent). Also, even if they proved that God has no cause to His existence yet exists in order to create the universe, they don't prove if God exists now and didn't disappear after the universe's creation.
I think the best solution to this problem is to stop trying to prove God's existence (or his non-existence, for that matter). Just have unquestioning faith in His existence. Be like William James, who says that we ought to believe in pure faith. I am, as Bertrand Russell would put it, an agnostic Christian, because I believe in God's existence while thinking that there is no actual way to prove it (note that this is not the conventional usage of the term "agnostic," and it means something different in this philosophical usage).
No sides of the debate can really come up with definitive evidence to prove their claims, so they all have to believe their claims in faith. Even a skeptic, who says that we shouldn't believe anything unless we have sufficient evidence, has faith that his/her way of forming beliefs is correct. It may not be correct to others, but it is correct for him/her. Likewise, my belief in God is correct to me and you can't convince me otherwise, but it may not be correct to others. This is why all these religious debates are awfully fruitless, because neither side can win, and they're simply wasting their time trying to convert the others. They also pour out hate, which seems bad.

Not a hypocrite at all. Now try going one step further. Does the acceptance of evolution make you a hypocrite? Was it important that God wrote about everything that happened before he made man or merely write Genesis has the beginning of God's actual presence ON earth.

You seem to be stuck in limbo, Time is nothing to God, Only to Humans. Our life in these mortal body's are short. It does not effect God though, he knows what comes next. If you are pretending to to study time 12 years then you are a Hypocrite, But if you truly did spend twelve years studying time then you are not a Hypocrite, At least about this Subject time.

hi BooYa, nicely right it is yet another remark from a backsliding christian. (agnostic genuinely) just to make useful we've been on the comparable internet site I appeared up meaning of hypocrite = " somebody feigning intense concepts: somebody who provides a faux visual allure of having admirable concepts, ideals, or thoughts Given the definition, don;t you think of that christians are extra vulnerable to hypocrisy? Is it no longer christians who declare the intense ethical floor? certainly having been a christian for fifty years and understanding the hypocrisy that is going on in church homes me thinks it is the pot calling the kettle black! i discover it particularly relaxing which you have assumed that hypocrisy is the only area of the atheist ... it is somewhat ridiculous . by the way your preliminary question replace into very cleverly built yet had flaws in evaluating it to God and the international yet howdy - have faith what you want to have faith - its a unfastened international! No because of the intense moralistic theists who attempt to push their ideals on everyone else. with the aid of all potential have your ideals and worship your God yet please do no longer attempt to stress it on others. regards Mike D As regards Crazyworlds remark - what's sin - i'm going to tell you in accordance to the Bible it is something that comes between you and God and breaks your dating - bear in mind the previous adage "Christians are actually not appropriate they are only forgiven". 180711

Your answer is partly correct, God has always existed. What don't you understand about time? What epiphany do you think your going to have that will enlighten you to GOD and suddenly give you the insight that you have tried to attain for 12 years. You have time confused with faith. Faith in it's blindest is form is GOD!

There are only two fundamental possibilities . Matter always existed or God always existed. Both are religious beliefs as they both require faith. However, to believe the first requires extreme faith since it defies common sense and must accept endless conflicts of logic to explain the known universe.

Grace and peace to you.

There is absolutely nothing hypocritical about your statement. I'm assuming that somebody called you a hypocrite regarding your asnwer. Not sure why. There's nothing hypocritical about it.
You are right,
although I would take it a step farther and say that although God" existance and time's existance are similar in that they have always existed and don't need to be catagorized... God's existence still surpasses all time.
God, being eternal, exists IN all time periods. God doesn't need time to exist...
I personally don't really see time as being a thing that exists, so much as man's attempt at organizing existence. The only disagreement I have with what you have said is with your statement "once you can comprehend time, you can comprehend God". I have a 6-year-old niece who has accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. I doubt she really understands the concept of eternality, time and space, but she understands that God loves her and that Christ died for her sins.
I'm not saying you're completely wrong... but just offering another point of view.
good day
