I want to build my Upper body muscles, mostly Biceps, Triceps, and Chest. This is what I do: For biceps and chest, I do regualr pushups with my hands about a foot apart. For triceps I do pushups with my thumbs and index fingers touching. I usually do 15 of each 3 times a day. AM I on the right track? Suggestions?

For anyone who asks/asked, I do sit-ups and I jog.

you might wanna up that 15 to like 200. 15 of each will just get your mucsles warmed up and that's about it. you gotta keep in mind that in order to build up or bulk up, you have to attack your muscle groups. what I do is sets of 20 about five sets total and I do them in 30 second intervals. meaning I do 20, wait 30 seconds then do 20 more and so on. this tires and kills your muscles and at the end you can feel and tell your muscles have grown just after those pushups. keep on doing them until you don't get tired so easily then bump them up to more sets or reps as needed

Well, it sounds like a great start. But, to answer the question, I guess I'd need to know what your goal is, and how far you are from it. So, a few suggestions:
1. First, get a paper tape measure and measure your arms and your chest. Keep this as a starting point. Then, once every two weeks, measure. Keep a log to keep track of it.
2. You might be out of balance by limiting yourself to those three muscle groups. I propose you think about adding something for your back and some sort of crunches or sit ups.
3. Are you doing something for lower body, or is that a goal for later? You might consider something as basic as power walking or jogging.
4. I assume a health club is not an option. The one thing that I think would help your regiment is some sort of pull ups. This would be particularly good for both biceps and back. A V shaped back really adds to the package.
5. Finally, as you make progress, you will need to make the exercises more challenging. You can do this by increasing the number of reps, the number of sets, or by adding some weight (such as a bag of dog food on your back while you are doing the push ups). And be sure to keep a log of what you do each day.

Good luck.

Yes, you are on the right track, but you definitely need to add to this workout. You need stregth training!!! Hit they gym, or buy some weights to use at home. Use dumbells, and do chest presses to work on arms, chest, and back. If you are going to a gym, use the various machines to help build your upper body more quickly. Either way, make sure that you are using weights and not just doing pushups. Pushups are great but they are only weight-bearing exercises and so to get results in a month weights will be necessary. Good Luck!!!

Wow!A month.Good luck especially without weights.Do not work out every day.Take a minmum of a day or two rest between. If you can do pull-ups or chin ups that may make you a little wider. You can do them with an overhand and underhand grip. This will help your biceps also.Gotta eat or you won't grow.Make sure your workouts are intense enough to make you sore. Most people think this is lactic acid but they're wrong.Muscle soreness after a workout is in fact micro-trauma.This is a minute tearing of the tissue. It's what causes most of the growth.Lactic acid is the burn you feel during

Do pushups in a hand stand with a wall to balance at first.

Swimming is great for the upper body!

You want to preserve your health meanwhile? Then, forget it. You don;t care about your health? Then, OK, do whatever they will suggest.

Yes, but do some rope climbing as well. When you get good, do it without your feet.
