She was on birth control for 3 years. Then her insurance kicked off, and she went off of it. We had protected sex with a condom, but that was it. Before she went on birth control, she got her period every 2-3 months. It's been near a month since she got it. Could she possibly be pregnant? How would we know?

It usually takes a little while for a woman to get pregnant after being off of birth control. If she doesn't get her period in the normal 2-3 months I would take a pregnancy test. It is possible to get pregnant even if you use a condom, just unlikely in this case.

If she was on birth control for 3 years than she will probably experience irregular periods as a result of the hormone changes in her body. I would wait a little while longer and if you are still worried get a home pregnancy test. Condoms are not 100% effective. Also check into Planned Parenthood for cheap birth control (you don't need insurance there).

She got her period every 2-3 months? I guess she never quit taking the pill..

Anyway, yes, she could be knocked up. But, since her body isn't exactly used to once a month periods...it may take a while to have 'regular' periods. To be sure, I would get a pregnancy test and end your worrying and stress.

Good luck.

I got pregnant with my first child immediately after going off the pill. I was later told that at that time you actualy have a higher chance of getting pregnant, although I forget why. Get a pregnancy test.

It can take up to 6 months for a woman to go back to her regular cycle after being on the pill. If it doesn't come back after that long, then she should see a doc. If there's a possibility of pregnancy, then she'd have to test to find out.

It's possiable... Anythings possiable... and the way to tell is to get a pregnancy test... but more than less likely this isn't the case and it's just her body getting used to not being on birth control... Just give it some time...

if she never had regular periods to start with i wouldn't panic, many things can cause a missed period, like weight loss or gain stress going off of brith control, but if you're in doubt take a pregancy test

possibly... however just because it was normal before.. doesn't mean that it is now...she may still have birth control hormones in her that are causing this... or she may be pregnant...

the only way to know is to go to the doctors

if everytime you had sex with her it was protected then the chances are slim but not zero. take a pregnancy test to find out the same way everyone else does.
