We broke up about a month ago. He tells everyone he still loves me but has sex with her and hangs out with her....why?

XXXXXXXXXX your ex is confused. He really don't know what he wants. He's probably using the other girl just as a friend with benifits. But then again. They may be what he's telling his friends one thing and telling her something different otherwise why is she staying with him? XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Many men look at sex with a random woman as just that and nothing more - no emotional involvement, no need for a relationship - just purely physical. Especially if you two were sleeping together, he may be using her to fulfill the physical need (even if he has no emotional connection) that he cannot get from you anymore.
One thought: Are you still talking to him, hanging out with him, doing everything you did in the relationship with him EXCEPT the physical? Then you're fulfilling his emotional needs, and he's going elsewhere for the physical.

the same thing is happening to me. I broke up with him 2 years ago and he's been with his new girlfriend for 1 year.He still tells me he loves me but i don't care because i have a boyfriend. If he really loved you then he would still be with you or atleast not with anyone else. Guys are stupid. Maybe he's with this new girl just for sex or maybe she buys him things and gives him money.

you mean your ex boy friend, and not husband? why should you care now ? and lose your mental peace? why and how did you break ? if it was you, means you were no longer interested in him? now you want to find satisfaction in thinking , he does'nt love that girl? whether they love each other, or sleep without love, you should not take a note of it at all, in my opinion. if your crowd takes out the topic, vry politely tell them, that chapter is closed for you, and you are not interested i discussing it, or listening to what he does, or says.
now try and make your choice for a new friend, and tell him frankly in the beginning only, about this break up. don't give any reasons, or blame, just say, difference of opinion. concentrate on your present activities, that will help.

Because plain and simple he wants SEX, and doesn't want to be alone. If you really care and want to get back with him. Talk to him and tell him how you feel. If you cant let go of his relationship with the other girl, just come out and ask him. Only time will tell how straight of a guy he is. If you get back together go slow, and make sure he knows it is a one on one relationship.

because thats what men do. they either love you and want to sleep with you all the time, or they don't love you and want to sleep with anyone all the time. Sex is Sex. from my experience and being married for almost 6 years, sex is just something that men physically and emotionally need, whether they love you or not.

No doubt for the same reason he stayed and slept with you....then switched to her. I'm sure it isn't the first time he's sang that song and sure enough there will be another starry-eyed woman to fall for his crap. You and the new girlfriend of his should start a club. Having stated the above, I understand the way a guy's heart, brain, and dick think. First of all, he probably loves you because you may to him be full of a personality rather then your hole and breasts. Probably this girl he sleeps with only serves his sexual needs...most likely this is his only reason for sleeping with her.
When I had a boyfriend who I really really loved by the way...i killed it by satisfying my straight needs which was with this very beautiful girl...HOWEVER EVENTUALLY ALL GUYS REALIZE THAT IT"S BETTER TO BE WITH SOMEONE THEY LIKE AND LOVE THEN SOME ***** WHORE...trust me I know

Because he is a guy, and to guys... well sex is sex, either way you look at it, some guys need it more than other, and of course some guys desirves it more than others, but thats not always the case.
