It doesn't bring comfort. If anything, it makes us very sad.

If you are a good person - and I think we all know what this means in general - why should you worry about being judged by a christian god?
A righteous god would surely judge people on how they conduct themselves. Being brought up as a child in a different religion or in a secular environment should not condemn an individual to eternal damnation. It makes no sense. What kind of a god would judge people so unfairly? Why would one want to worship such a god?
A second point is also pertinent. If an individual is doing good purely to get into heaven and save his skin from the fires of hell is he not acting disingenuously? A person should do good primarily because 'its the right thing to do and they want to help people'

To sum up if you want to worship god that's fine, If you want help from Jesus or the church or whoever to handle the tough cases
of right vs wrong that's fine too. But do right by people whenever you can and you'll be fine in the afterlife.

That's my two penny's worth on the subject.!

Why ask does it bring comfort to christians to know all of the nice non christians are going to be judged... no it does not bring comfort to me, i have some very good friends who are not christians and yes it hurts to know that they will not end up in heaven, but you must remember there is so much you can do and say and the decision is theirs to accept Jesus as their Lord and savour and the only thing you can do it pray for them and ask God to open their Spiritual Eyes, maybe you will plant a seed and God will do the rest.

No, beloved you're missing the whole point of Christianity. Your love, or in this case lack of, should have compassion, mercy and grace for your fellow man. These are the characterics of God. It is a strange act to have to destroy the wicked. It's somewhere in Isiah where it talks of how it is His strange act. God's purpose is to destroy sin and the root and branches. Unfortunately, those who decide to hold onto sin will be burned in the lake of fire. Remember the lake of fire was for the devil and the fallen angels. Humans, if had not fallen into sin, would never had to experience destruction. The comfort is knowing that sin will be destroyed, but not the fact that my fellow mankind will suffer the effects and affects of the destruction of sin.

It does not bring comfort to any one! Where a person spends eternity is their choice and not the Lords' Everyone is invited to go to heaven and the Lord offers everyone eternal life as a free gift. It is offered unconditionally and can be accepted by all at any time. Best advice, Don't be caught dead without Jesus!

If it brings comfort to your Christian brethren to believe that millions whose beliefs differ from theirs will suffer agony for all eternity, then I say that you are all judgmental hypocrites.

You don't even follow your own Bible. I'd say that if your belief is according to your own scripture then you shall be judged as you have judged. You have not loved thy neighbor, you smirk with righteousness over the prospect of them burning for all eternity.

Best you concentrate on your own salvation!

If you are truly a Christian then you would want NO ONE to suffer for all eternity in hell. You would be taking the Good News of Christ's offer of salvation to the un-saved/non-Christians in a loving way. Also remember you are saved not perfect, you too will be judged for your actions, don't you think God holds us accountable for our actions too as Christians? Salvation is not a free ticket to go do as you please. Remember that Jesus said in the Bible that at the day of JUDGMENT there will be many who cry Lord I did this or that in your name and he will say to them "I never knew you." He was talking to people who believed themselves to be saved.

A zealous fundamentalist would say, "Although you're not invited to the wedding, you can come to the reception. Your gifts will be accepted graciously, but when the party's over..."

I personally think that sin, and deciet will go to hell. Atheists will be an echo, much like the anti-deluvian voices of Atlantis...

Everybody will be judged, Christian and non-Christian (2Cor 5:10). It doesn't bring us any comfort - that's why we're trying to get people like you to look at the evidence and obey the gospel.

Are you willing to drop your anger and prejudice and look at things calmly and rationally, or not?

That's sick.
Hell is a place of eternal separation of fellowship from anyone. It is a burning place made for soul to recall the truth of God's love and complete sacrifice for them while they reject it in life.

I am deeply saddened, especially by the nastiest of them, since they have so much farther to backtrack to come to a place where they can even be aware that God is reaching out to them and has sacrificed everything for them.
Pray for those who persecute you.
May the peace of God be upon you all.
