It's a shame that being an Atheist isn't a religion. It's more of a base for certain philosophies.

Atheists don't have a hard time admitting that they are.

It is the religious followers who have a hard time accepting that people could actually live a happy and normal life without having to become one of the sheep in the religious flock.

Most atheists have no difficulty admitting they're atheists. The ones that do are the closet atheists that pretend to be Christians so as not to piss off their family, friends or co-workers.

Why do you have such a hard time understanding what atheism is? I mean there are so many atheists out there. You could try asking what they believe in instead of assuming.

Besides, religious people are athiests to gods of other religions, I just believe in less gods than they do. =P

Do you mean its difficult for atheists who were raised theists to "come out" and declare their beliefs? That may be difficult for some, but it wasn't a problem for me.

You ended your question with "just thinking"....

No... you're not

I've never met an Atheist who is ashamed to admit what they are, me included.
