WHY? this guy i am seeing tells me when he gets hit on. why? i dont care. and its usually older women. I tease him about it. should I keep teasing? why does he tell me?

So its either him telling me to get me jealous, or he is being super honest. how do i respond back?> is it OK to tease him then? (i am not a jealous person)

he is insecure and trying to puff himself up. he also may have strange thoughts about his mother.

Sounds like he wants you to feel insecure because he is insecure. He wants to portray himself as being highly sought after because he knows that other guys want you. You should not continue to tease him about it. That only fans the flames of his fire. Tell him that you only need to know about a woman hitting on him if the feeling was mutual. Oh yeah, maybe he's telling you that these women are hitting on him when he is really hitting on them. He could be trying to cover his own butt. He wants to be able to say, "I told you that she was after me." if one of these women should ever go public about his indiscretions. These are just guesses. In any case, watch him. A hit dog will holler! I hear him howling from a mile away.

Keep teasing him about it. My boyfriend and I tell each other when we get hit on, and then we laugh together about it. For us, it's an affirmation that we CHOOSE to be together. I chose him, even though I didn't have to, because he's special. I get hit on, and I still choose him.
Not only that, but some of the idiots hitting on us are just too funny not to laugh at....

He's just trying to fluff his ego a little bit by showing you that everyone sees him as a catch, and letting you know that you are not the only fish in the see. He's either trying to make you jealous or letting you know that he has options open.

He wants you to know that he's wanted by other women. Mayb he likes the thought of you being jealous.

First of all love...them is spelt them, now the reason why guys rell women they get hit is to let you know that they are still in demand out there....they are reminding you that they still have the power to pull, all this is make you recognise how lucky you are to have them, ok.

I'd love to have the answer to this one but I don't have a clue! I've been married 20 years and my husband still tells me every time he THINKS a woman is interested in him. Very silly!!

It boosts his ego to know others find him desirable...and he may have a bit of a desire to see if you'll get jealous (to him that may be a sign you really care)...
Don't play that game with him...say "that's nice" or "I can see why, cuz I dig you too" and then let it go...
Don't let him boost his own ego at the expense of your feelings...

I there are a couple reasons for him doing this... It may be that he feels like if he tells you this that you will apprechiate him more... It may be that he thinks it's funny... It may be that he feels guilty when they do and needs to tell you....
I'd ask him why he does it... Maybe he just says it because he knows you'll get a kick out of it... Who knows...

i think that it is a good thing that he is telling you when girls hit on him. He is being honest. I think you should tell him that you appriciate him being honest. I wish I got the same treatment.

I tell my wife when I get hit on . .. only cuz I dont think that it is right for her sister to be trying to get in my pants. Im married for cryin out loud.
