Stuart King, you are wise beyond your years.
Julia, if you're having sex and want to have babies, you need to see a doctor ASAP.
If you're having sex and you don't want to have babies, you'd best stop now. Once you've gotten pregnant, it's not so easy to undo...even in this day and age...unless your parents are extremely understanding.
Having sex is more than just a one night thing. You're at risk for all sorts of diseases that you might not like so much. If you want to have children in the future, wait until your body is mature enough to safely handle a pregnancy. I'm just a mom, but I would be really worried if my young daughter were having sex and contracting Chlamydia or Syphilis and I wasn't there to help her.

Julia,
You lucked out. You posted in
Home > Arts & Humanities > Genealogy
It is the wrong category, but Genealogists are unfailingly kind, witty, considerate, wise and devilishly handsome, so you got some good answers.
Had you posted in
Home > Health > Women's Health
you might have gotten more answers.
Had you posted in

You probably would have gotten several offers from boys, to help you get pregnant.
Your librarian can help you find a basic book about sex education - either the public library or your school library. You should read up on the basics.
A Peruvian child became pregnat at age 5, back in 1939. She is the world's youngest mother.

If she could get pregnant, so could you. You can get pregnant without ever having had your period. You should not be having sex before you are ready to be pregnant, and if you haven't had your period, you are too young.
Tell the boy you had sex with that you think you are pregnant. 99 times out of 100 he will decide he doesn't love you enough to marry you.

You can only get pregnant if you have sex when you are ovulating (when your egg travels to your uterus and become emplanted there, etc.) Ovulation occurs BEFORE you have your bloodflow.
Since you haven't had your first period yet, we don't know if you were ovulating when you had sex. If you were, then it's possible for you to get pregnant.
Many women first suspect that they might be pregnant when they miss their regular period. This wouldn't apply to you, because apparently you haven't had a first one yet.
If you think you might be pregnant, please see a doctor! And if you're not old enough to have your period, you really need to stop having sex! Not only are you waaayy too young physically and emotionally, but you are leaving yourself open to sexually transmitted diseases that can affect your ability to have children when you're older and that can hurt you alot!!
Also, if you're under 18, your sex partner risks being arrested and going to prison!
And having a child is a big, though wonderful, responsibility that will change your life, but it's not the kind of change that you would be prepared to handle at such a young age.
I hope this helps!

I am not going to presume you are way to young to be having sex, since it is perfectly possible to be 16 or 17 and not have had a period..
yes you can get pregnant before your first period.... see if you havent had one... you dont know when the first one will be so can not work out your fertility cycle... so merely by chance you may fall pregnant before your first period....

heres some stuff
Pregnancy can happen when ejaculate or pre-ejaculate gets in the vagina or on the vulva. Physically, a woman is ready to become pregnant when she ovulates for the first time. Since ovulation usually happens before the first time a girl menstruates, it is possible for a girl to get pregnant before her first period ever comes.
It's hard to know when this ovulation is happening because you can't see it, although most women experience a change in their vaginal discharge during ovulation. If the egg is not fertilized by sperm, the lining of your uterus will shed and come out of your vagina and menstruation begins.

i think the more important question is why havent you had your period yet. How old are you? If your younger than 16 you shouldnt even be thinking about having sex. If your over sixteen i'd see a doctor to make sure your reproductive system is doing allright, i've heard of late bloomers but not withing the last five years or so.

If you have never had a period because you are too young to have one then you should stop having sex. And yes, you can get pregnant.
If you have never had a period and you are old enough to have one, you should see a doctor.
If you have never had a period because you are male, well guess you don't have to worry about babies.

If you have never had a period, do not have sex. You are too young. Wait until you are older and it will mean more, feel better, you will be happier.

most likely not, you have to ovulate before you can get pregnant and getting your period is a sign you have ovulated ...
if you have sex right before your first period ... you CAN get pregnant.
but don't have sex before you are married. you will regret it. save it for your future husband. it is the best gift you could ever give him.
