I hear that you can buy furniture much cheaper by getting it from North Carolina. My understanding is the delivery is no more than what I would normally pay in sales tax. But there are so many North Carolina furniture stores on the internet - anyone know of reputable ones and whether this is worth the trouble or not?

High Point - NC is the best to get WOOD furniture.

Do NOT buy stuff from NC Furniture Buy Direct.com We thought the same thing you do and it turns out this company has good prices, but we ordered our bedroom suite to be here 6 MONTHS AGO and it STILL not here. If you're willing to wait a lifetime, they have good prices, but so do many other NC furniture stores.

No, but the you might as well get the furniture from somewhere closer to you because the out of state taxes might be kind of high.
