OMG that is an excellent question. Absolutely it is. Read 'Conversations with God' by Neale Diamond Walsh! He believes that if the entire world could put their intentions (prayers) towards genuinely wanting to fix thing we could. I definetly agree!

Negative thinking is a wall between a person and what is really possible. They're beaten before they even begin. It takes strength to see past adversity and find a way by which it can be overcome. You have to have the conviction to reach your goal.

You shouldn't be praying just to make it happen, but for the strength to use the power and intelligence God gave you to change what is necessary.

I just love a good riddle. Unfortunately, this is neither good nor a riddle.

And a comment to "RogueWyndwalker" :
If the whole world could get together and do ANYTHING as one, we could change the world. Prayer isn't necessarily the only way. It's just "easier" than getting out from in front of the TV and actually doing it.

that is a poorly constructed question. of course negative thinking does us wrong, why else would it be negative. thinking negatively is bad regardless of the power of prayer.

I'm not sure what your question is.. but... Negative thinking will always make things worse. It will always put a damper on the way things turn out. So it's best to trust in the Lord and think positive. Even if things don't go your way... don't fret... because were're not on this earth to please ourselves anyway. We may get upset at how things are going, but just know that God has a greater plan.

Negative thinking does us harm, watching the news does us harm, but.. we can and I do pray and ask for God to help me with all things. Truly we need to channel our thoughts to positive things but, also in life there are negatives and God wants us to help others and do things right that include hearing negative things, seeing negative.. but it makes us grow, to help others.
We need balance.. that is the hard part, I do find I must learn to lean more to the positive...

GOOD QUESTION.. THOUGHT PROVOKING..

negative thinking comes from insecurity--gotta get rid of that. prayer is best for resolving the conflicts.

Definitely. In fact, there are some people (i.e. Louis Hay) who believe that negative thinking is what causes all diseases...physical and mental.
