what r your views on masturbation. do u think its perfectly healthy, or do you think its quite sad and pathetic and for losers who dont have girlfriends and boyfriends. i am unsure about masturbation, whether its right or not, many people seem to think it corrupts the soul, and that we need to control these urges that we have. but i am not sure as it can lead to repression if we dont do it, but then again if we are strong enough to control ourselves, their is nothing to repress. i masturbated quite regularly before when i was around 15-16, and i used to feel sick at myself for doing it. it just made me feel horrible like i was committing some sort of a sin. and then one day suddenly i just stopped around about the age of 16, and i am 19 now and i hadnt done it for three years and i am still a virgin btw. i want to do it, but at the same time i also dont want to as i think their is something wrong in doing it.
please help me out here, what exactly are yor views on masturbation

It's good. What's with having to control yourself? As long as you can control yourself from doing it at the supermarket you're fine.

It's normal and healthy in my book. Better than sleeping around and contracting HIV. As others have said, it's great for stress, it helps you fall asleep, makes you more relaxed, among other positive emotional benefits. Sex and self pleasure are both normal acts of being human. Be responsible about what you're doing and you're not hurting yourself or anyone else.
And masturbation does not cause acne, it does not cause blindness, it does not cause any of those old wives tales.

Wow, I was going to say something smart, but I've decided against it. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MASTURBATION. Anyone that tells you differently is an asswipe. It is perfectly normal and healthy and those that masturbate actually have a lower risk of prostate cancer. Now, if masturbating interferes with your work, home or sex life...... stop spanking the monkey. ok, get it? got it? Good.

good, it helps to relieve stress, and sometimes it is just more relaxing than sex, probably cause you dont have to talk to your lover afterwards.
Everyone does or has done it, no matter what they say, those who are usually most against it usually do it most and have the most bizarre fetishes.
But masterbation comes with consequence, it causes acne.
But it also helps to build an endurance for when you do have sex, so that way your not a premie.

Well,
It's a perfectly healthy thing. AND STOP LYING! You know you do still do it. I mean three years, Dam! In my opinion, it is a perfect thing to stop rapes and abuse. It is a perfectly natural thing, and don't feel bad about it.
One is glad to be of service!

I hope you enjoy reading. Get a copy of Wild At Heart by John Eldridge. I encourage you to read it and take in ( digest it ) every word. Other young and " old men " alike need to read this book. " Deep in his heart, every man longs for a battle to fight, an adventure to live and a beauty to rescue. "

although I don't practice, it is good for those who need any kind of relief(sexual I suppose). there is nothing wrong in it. this is just another stupid old idea. You will have side effects from not doing it if you want to, but not from doing it if you feel so. As long as you feel that you need to do it, do it!

It's perfectly okay. It gives you an idea of what you like and don't like. You can use this information to let your future partner know what makes you happy. The better you know yourself, the better you can communicate it with your partner...and hopefully your partner will also communicate what s/he likes.

I think it is perfectly healthy to masturbate. You have to love yourself in order to love other people. and who to say you do it to much what's to much? to you it may be one thing but to me well. I do it and I have a bf he don't mind that I do it he likes to watch. Sex and masturbation is natural.
