Why don't places that seem like 'paradise' ever produce religious lunatics who want to rule the world? When was the last time you heard about a holy war in the islands of the south pacific? (Besides the time when the christian sailors showed up and started 'converting' people by fire.) I don't remember hearing about an Inquisition in New Zealand. How many suicide bombers come from Hawaii?

Both Fiji and the Solomon Islands have recently experienced tensions between groups of different religions.

Both religions were imported from the mainland, mind you.

Apparently, Cuba was once a pretty idyllic place, look what happened there.

On the other hand, if I lived in Tahiti, I'd be pretty darn satisfied with life in general.
