Because as far as their knowledge is concerned there is only God and Satan, and if they believe we are following a different 'God' other than theirs then it must be Satan. (Since it can only be one or the other!) Too bad they haven't researched or thought hard enough to realize that Pagans do believe in God -- even the same one. We just don't follow the bible, that we believe God is both and male and female and we only separate God into two beings (a God and Goddess) for the ease of personally relating to him/her. *sigh* Oh, well.

The word "pagan" is defined as:

1)One who is not a Christian, Muslim, or Jew, especially a worshiper of a polytheistic religion.
2)One who has no religion.
3)A non-Christian.
4)A hedonist.
5)A Neo-Pagan.

This is a descriptive word, not a derogatory word. Pagans are not our opponents or enemies unless they choose to attack us.

We do believe that those who deny the diety of God (Jehovah) are rebelious, but that doesn't make them our enemy. Our kids are rebellious, too and that doesn't make them an enemy either.

Unfortunately, not every christian understands these principles. But those of us who study the bible openly denounce the villification of any people as the sin it is.

Simple - when he doesnt believe in what I believe - which is the only truth, because I beleive it to be. That makes him a pagan....

Pretty lame thinking huh?
