TB is very infectious especially to small kids. You're maid will probably visit her brother regularly. So for your sake and your family, ask her to get a skin test at local clinic or hospital to makes sure that she hasn't caught it from her brother. For more info read this and click on the link if you have more questions. I wish you and your family good health!!!

TB is spread through the air from one person to another. The bacteria are put into the air when a person with active TB disease of the lungs or throat coughs or sneezes. People nearby may breathe in these bacteria and become infected.

When a person breathes in TB bacteria, the bacteria can settle in the lungs and begin to grow. From there, they can move through the blood to other parts of the body, such as the kidney, spine, and brain.

i do not imagine it is laziness or ineptitude usually it truly is a need. maximum households nevertheless do their laundry by technique of hand because maximum do not personal washing machines and those that do nevertheless favor accessible wash previous to utilising the gadget. maximum households doesn't personal the living house equipment that you state and maximum households doesn't be in a position to arise with the money for the take-out foodstuff 24/7. maximum households have some thing as a lot as 6 contributors and equates to distinctive washing for one individual and an similar applies to the cooking. i recently went to the Phil's for a visit. Our loved ones had 8 adults and a couple of toddlers. Now it is distinctive washing, cooking and cleansing so our in-guidelines have a stay in maid (a relative). She is from the province the position there is virtually no artwork. She manages to deliver money decrease back to feed and preserve her personal kin, a kin that is destitute if it weren't for the earnings that the 'maid' became earning. To "stuff grimy clothing right into a gadget or stir fry some vegetables or maybe to only to a thanks to sparkling AFTER your self?" all it is the person-pleasant area. What about going to the markets each day or 2? What about attending college primary? What about operating primary? What about cleansing the living house primary? What about some high quality relax time?

I would be concerned for the children. I would said, take your maid to a nearby health department to run a t.b. test. They're usually free and the staff could also answer your questions.

T.B. does not spread unless it is an "open case". It is unlikely for her to contract tb just by visiting her brother once. nevertheless, ask her to stay alert & if any symptoms of tb appear (cough/evening rise of temperature/weight loss) she should consult a physician immediately. you do not need to worry bout your kids unless your maid-servant also contracts the disease. TB spreads through droplets i.e. from nasal secretion, expectoration etc. if any person suffers from open TB, do not let his/her 'droplets' to pollute the environment. i hope u know what to do. all the best :-)

A person can spread TB only if he is passing out the bacteria in sputum. If the maid's brother has TB and she is healthy, she cannot possibly give it to others ,as she doesn't have it herself. If she is living with him, get her X rayed to make sure that she doesn't have it.

Unless she lives with her brother (or lived with him recently) it isn't likely that she is contagious. Speak to your Doctor about having the TB skin test done, it is relatively painless and simple and yields quick results.

If she does not have active pulmonary tuberculosis with a cough no one in your house is in danger. She might change clothes after she visits him, but he is probably not contagious either.
