you will possibly be able to desire to spray your backyard and de-flea your place too. New fleas are hatching and transforming into up all the time, and except you do all of it of sudden it extremely is an uphill conflict. additionally, if the cats roam, they could be bringing fleas back with them. Frontline isn't an instant flea restoration, it does take some days (or months counting on how undesirable the flea issue is) to paintings. Get a flea comb. On each animal comb the fleas off. you are able to kill the fleas on the brush in a bowl of rubbing alcohol (wipe the brush dry so which you do no longer comb it into the animals' fur). Spray all the carpets and upholstered furnishings. Vacuum each little thing and throw the baggage away outdoors. Spray the backyard. In a month once you do frontline back, do the residing house and backyard back. We had a extensive flea issue. It took 3 months of benefit and doing the backyard and residing house in the previous we observed no fleas. yet we've been flea loose for basically approximately 10 years now, I purely benefit the canine 4 situations a 365 days for the final 5 years, they get combed and checked for fleas a week basically to make particular.

I have recently had a flea outbreak with my 2 bulldogs. It is important to know that Frontline and Advantage (and all other flea meds) ONLY kill the fleas that actually bite the dog and prevent the fleas from laying eggs. To get rid of existing fleas, try a flea bath (this worked to kill the fleas on my dogs on contact) and make sure to wash bedding, blankets, etc. and vacuum if you have rugs. You may have to flea bomb your house as well if you can't get it under control. You may want to call your vet as well.

Your yard is probably infested with fleas. You'll have to spray it to kill the fleas and eggs. There are many products out there, even some made by Raid. You can treat your dog as much as you want, but you have to get rid of the source of the fleas, which is your yard. Be sure to follow the directions as stated on the bottles.

i use advantage on my beagle he is allergic so i know the problems with dealing with a dog with fleas to correct some thing some one said here about swimming lessening the effectiveness not true my begocker (part beagle part cocker) love to swim every day and this was a worry for me and my vet said it would not hurt the effects any way back to my beagle i half to also use a medicated shampoo and i guarantee this to work orange oil has to be pure orange oil or it won't a few drops in a small spray bottle keep him sprayed every day and it will kill and repel the fleas

OK now if your dog is allergic to fleas then you half to half every time flea season comes be ready before the fleas come meaning treat your home treat your yard if you live in a house, start you dog on his flea treatment BEFORE he gets fleas another great item is brewers yeast i had a dog that love -love them and it is a good flea repellent

Good luck i hope you get it under cont roll watching your dog scratch tell he can't sleep is something i use to go with until he Finlay found out he was allergic to fleas.

Have you tried K9 Advantix? It will actually repel the fleas and ticks for two weeks after you apply it. But just because you see fleas doesn't mean they're not working. Also, environmental factors like frequent bathing, swimming, or living in a wooded/country area can affect the medicine's potency.

You should talk to you're local vet about this problem. We have to spray our yard every year, because we have a dog that is allergic to fleas. Wash all the dogs bedding in super hot water, and it probably wouldn't hurt to bug bomb the house with something that will kill the eggs, larvae, pupa, and adult fleas. Good luck
