Well, my dogs will eat them out of the can or out of the pan just as they are... Maybe she just doesn't like them. Please don't use any salty, greasy, or pungent flavorings for them. Some of the suggestions above aren't only unhealthy for your dog, but dangerous. Now, cooking them up with a tad bit of garlic (small amount, and well-cooked) might make it more appealing to her.

Have you tried other veggies or fruits? My dogs love carrots, cooked or raw. They also like small bites of tomato or apple. Veggies are good for dogs if you can get them to eat them. Some breeds actually thrive on them. Stay away from onions, grapes, raisins, chocolate, and avocados, though. And make sure if you do give them garlic, that it is cooked.

There *are* foods that are safe for your dog, but you should always confirm that a new food is safe for them by looking it up on the web, or asking your vet, or *both*. Food allergies are common in dogs, so always test the new food carefully first.

All the best!

I wouldn't say he was drastically underweight. It wouldn't hurt, though, to try to help him overcome his pickiness, so he will eat a more nutritious variety of foods. Here are some healthy choices that have a greater concentration of calories, and some with healthy fats: Peanut butter Homemade macaroni and cheese (not the boxed stuff) Dried fruits (raisins, apricots, etc.) Hummus (makes a wonderful dip!) Homemade chicken nuggets Homemade oatmeal raisin cookies Cheese and whole grain crackers I wouldn't worry too much about his weight, though. If he's healthy, he's just fine the way he is.

only someone who REALLY likes green beans would consider them a treat. instead of a treat why not just mix them in her food at dinner time. she's a carnavor go and buy her some freeze dried liver treats from petsmart for an occassional treat. our dogs love those. you could also search the web for a good dog biscuit recipe and add things like grated carrots and the like to it for extra veggie nutritian. you could also try blending cook(soft) veggies(peas/corn/carrrots/green beans) and mixing that with her
regular food. dogs don't make good vegetarians though, they like meat!!!

Try frying almonds and butter together with tabasco sauce. Just before the almonds burn remove from heat and toss into the green beans. Don't go too liberal with the tabasco at first unless you're a hottie. ;-) Works best with French cut green beans.

My dog loves frozen green beans in the summer, right out of the package. She also loves raw carrots, and apples. Yes dogs are basically carniverous, but they love fresh veggies and they're good for them - Gracie eats more veggies than chew sticks or dog treats, and they aren't fattening her up!

If your dog doesn't like green beans, then they're not much of a treat, no matter what you do to them.

Why would you want to feed your dog green beans? Dogs are carnivorous animals. If you are a vegetarian, you shouldn't force your animals into that kind of lifestyle. Its not natural, or healthy.

For the dog, bacon. For a human, bacon, sausage and GRAVY! P.S. - Don't feed the dog beans, feed him/her DOG FOOD!
