If someone has a problem of eating a little too much (not a lot but a little over their limit) and end up vomitng afterwards (3-4 times a week) what type of ramifcations are there? This has nothing to do with weight loss!! I just got a limit to what I can't eat and even if I eat a bite more, it's over!

The first and foremost that needs to be addressed here are the reasons for vomiting after eating. You are correct when you say that this has nothing to do with weight loss, at least on the surface it may look that way. It is a coping mechanism, a form of control, and a sign of something much deeper that needs to be dealt with. I am a recovering anorexic/bulimic. I was hospitalized and almost died. Speaking from experience here, the damage that you can cause to your body can be life long. Exercise, starvation & vomiting cause chemical reactions in the brain & body, a release of endorphines, and these behaviors can be quite addictive. The lean muscle tissue such as those of organs (heart, liver, etc.) and muscle are "eaten" for the body's energy, thus making you "more fat". Exactly the opposite of your goal. I have damaged my heart, my thyroid, and other vital organs to the point that they are 10 - 15 years older than what I am. There are some real consequences to what you are doing. It is addictive. 3 to 4 times a week will no longer be enough for you in time. You need to seek out someone that you trust to talk too. Visit your Doctor and be honest and up front. Seek further medical help in a Therapist. Take care of this while you still can and maintain your health. You are not alone in this. There is help out there.

Vomiting Consequences

I'm really sorry to say but you need to check your self in. Your body is designed to vomit when it not you needs to reject some thing. Common a bite over the limit listen to your self. Physically if you vomit that often or not vomit has stomach acid and bile in it that can seriously damage a flap at the bottom of your esophagus this flap doesn't allow food to work its way back out. Damage it enough and your eating through a tube, That will be inserted in through your stomach. The acid in vomit can also damage your teeth so if you had a great or decent smile say good bye!

Fill your food in small bowls. That way it seems like you are eating a lot but you're really eating a little. You need to know when to stop. If you stop after that small bowl and wait a few minutes you'll start to feel full. If you just keep going for more bowls then you're not going to feel full until you finally eat so much that you stop.

I'm unsure of why you might be puking. Is your puking new? If so then maybe you have a bug. If not then it's definitely something that should be brought to a doctor's attention. Good luckkk.♥

I know for bulimics (which I realize you are denying, but this may help) the vomiting can cause burns in the esophagus because of the stomach acid, etc. Not sure what else.
Though if you are vomiting most of what you eat, you may begin to lose weight as well which could be bad, not to mention that you are vomiting all of the vitamins and other nutrients you are eating which would make you eventually malnourished.

Even though it has nothing to do with weight loss, it is still considered a problem. These purging behaviors are often accompanied by feelings of shame or guilt, and there are physical consequences.

Fluid and mineral embalances caused by vomiting or diarrhea can lead to abnormal heart rhythems and injury to hte kidneys.

Vomiting causes irritation and infection of the pharnex, espophagus, and salivary glands; erosion of the teeth; and dental issues. Some times the eyes become red from the pressure of vomiting.

Basically all this vomiting can lead to death and heart failure. I hope this helps.

Well the vomit erodes the enamel on your teeth, you are more likely to get those ugly veins showing in your legs. Erosion of the esophagus. Food is meant to go down, not come back up.

The stomach acid will utterly destroy your teeth, your esophagus, and everything else as it comes up.

If this is a problem, realize your limit and stop eating before you get to your limit.

Also, see a doctor about this.
