I've actually met 4-5 people from the net...dated 2 while the others were strictly platonic friends. The first time the relationship lasted almost 2 years. It was no different than the women I met in public and dated. I'm currently dating the 2nd one now. We're about 7 months into it and things are looking bright as far as our future goes. Again, things are no different than women I met in public. We met on a site via email and IM, we spoke over the phone after talking online a bit and shortly there after we set up a first date. I have met several guys online. It usually didn't work out as it seemed to end the pleasant online conversation we had had as we were not attracted to each other in person. I have met some I had to avoid simply because I wasn't interested in them. I have had only one real success and that was with a married man I began an affair with. He turned out to be the most sane, attractive, normal person and the only one I had any kind of ongoing relationship with. My advice is to try to meet after a week or two, not sooner as this scares us ladies away, but you don't want to spend too much time online because you may be let down when you finally meet.

most people have chatted with girls or guys on the internet at one point or another. it really depends on what the motives are behind it. if they want sex, dont do it. you dont know where they've been and what they've done. people on the internet can be whoever they want, and the real person isnt always pretty. just be careful about it, and make sure that you have a backup plan.

Yeah, I have had good experiences, but the guys I have met have told me that the girls they met werent very honest about themselves and it turned out bad when they met.
Seems guys are more honest about their appearances than girls are, so be careful.

Yes, and it was a disaster. I ended up with a stalker for over a year, got a protective order, she violated, had to go to court, still finds ways to bug me.....I will never do that again.

well im going to meet someone this weekend, i nevver have met anyone though, most of the time they are clear acrost the state, so inles they would like to fly out to see me then i don't think i will meet them either, and if they did fly acros the state to see me, then i woul dbe scared, lol

well to be ho nest i think you should be careful really. i met this guy who lived near me form the internet we chated a couple of times, when i finally met him he was koo and all but thenall of a sudden he started to get obsesive that i had to call the police and get a restraning order at him its really scary please be careful cause you reall have no idea who your really chatting with. good luck
