My cat Nelson is about 10-12 years old and he started throwing up this white, foamy liquid a couple days ago. He also started sneezing alot. He's never done this before.... why the sudden change? Should I take him to the vet?

Yes you should. He could be poisoned. If your vet can't help you try young coconut drink without sugar of course. The acidic content of the coconut water/drink helps to neutralized the poisoned.Hope your cat gets better soon.Good Luck!

Yes take him to a vet. It sounds like hes got a cold with a sore throat. When an animals throat gets irritated ,that's what causes them to throw this white foamy substance. It happens in dogs to.

It does sound like Kennel Cough which is highly contageous between animals. My dogs had it and had the same symptoms. If it is sneezing it might be a cold, but if it is making any sort of "hacking" noise then you might want to get it to the vet as soon as you can. It's better to be safe than sorry, right?

If nothing else it could just be that he ate something that his stomach didn't agree with!

As soon as possible! That is mostly the case when cats have something stuck in their tummies! Vet should do an xray, and in the worst case surgery is needed!
Hope it will all work out for Nelson and you!

Did it get into any chemicals? One time I was exposed to something bad and I had a bad headache - I thought my head was splitting open, and I was throwing up white foam!

I would take him to the vet......God knows what he had. Sometimes they throw up because they chewed a lizard or hair, but I would get it checked out with a vet....always call them to ask.

Well, my cat does that occasionally when she is trying to get up a hairball. But it only happens once or twice a year. If it is happening constantly, you should take him to the vet.

Sounds like Kennel Cough. Yes, do take him to the Vet. For my dog they had us give her NyQuil but I don't about cats. Good Luck...

Yes, take him to the vet! If the vet can't see him today, then take him to an emergency vet, if there is one in your town.
