I am interested in what everyone thinks.... Black Magick vs. White Magick. Anyone who actually practices, could you tell me which one and what it is that you do. I would also like to be able to talk to some of you who answer. I am looking to focus more of my energies, they are scattered and strayed.

Magic is magic... there really is no such thing as black magic and white magic... both are done the same way... it is the intent of the practitioner that determines the "color" of the work at hand. The focus of your personal energy and the energy of the planet and nature is tapped and used the same way no matter what you are doing with the energy once tapped.

It's the difference between a blessing and a curse... positive and negative. The odd thing is that it is sometimes necessary to do a negative spell to get a positive result... that doesn't make it black magic. An example is banishing irrational fear requires all the things to do a "bad spell," but isn't for a bad purpose. But somebody might make the mistake of thinking a person is doing a bad spell due to the time, place, and tools used for the work.

Anyway, it's all the same force... it's just what you do with it that makes the difference. There are those who work specifically with demons... that isn't magic. Working with evil entities only bring about evil results.

I am an Occultist. I practice all forms of magick, including the "dark" magick. If you want to learn more understand there is a very large risk involved with knowing what I do.

Magick is dangerous. Things tend to go much differently then they are planned. Furthermore, if you are revealed as a magickian you will meet ridicule and potentially physical resolution against you. You could lose everything, even your very soul.

If your willing to accept this risk as a possibility, I will gladly assist you. Know also that I will never tell you more then you should know.

I don't think there is black and white magick. It all depends on the intent of the person performing it. It also depends what frame of reference you are looking at it from. If you are looking at it from a Wiccan perspective than generally you only perform 'positive' magick. Their main tenant is 'An Harm it None, Do What Ye Will.' an also, 'Ever mind the rule of three, what ye sends out comes back to thee.'. These are both pretty common things you'll hear in the world of magick. Basically, you should perform magick only if it will not harm anyone (including yourself), and that if you DO intentionally do magick to harm somebody karma will come back to kick you in the butt and it will be much worse than what you originally sent out.

If you are looking to focus your energies, you should consider getting your aura read, getting a reiki healing session with a certified practitioner, and/or read about shielding meditations that will help to contain your energy and keep out any harmful, undesirable ones.

I am an ecletic Pagan, and practicing witch, who also is a certified reiki healer. I look forward to hearing from you if you would like to talk more!

Black and White magick? I practice Grey Magick in a sense.
The idea of black and white magick dissolves once you realize the true nature of things. People like duality. Its easier to deal with the idea that there is good and evil, rather than understanding those things (good and evil) are simply extreme opposites of the same thing.

Black magick? White magick? Magick is magick. Color means nothing. It is the intent behind what you do, do you want to do good or do something negative with your magick. Some Pagans believe in the Harm None rede which means negative is out of the question. And, some Pagans do not follow the Rede, and do magick as they see fit and willing to suffer the consequences of anything that may come back to them.

White Magick is wonderful.

Stay away from Black Magick because the bad stuff comes back, so only stick to happy, good (white) magick.

Focusing your energy just means learning to focus your mind. Learn to meditate which is just calming the mind. Some use their breathing to focus (they pay attention to how their breathing and let everything else fade away) or imagine putting wandering thoughts in a bubble and letting it float away.

Here are links to my favorite free meditation sites:

Good luck!

Magick is no color, its what you put into it. Whatever you hold in your heart is what goes into the spell or Magick. If you harbor ill will, then that is what kind of energies. Just remember the three fold rule, whatever you do comes back three times whether it be to harm or help.

Do as thou wilt, an ye harm none

I don't categorize magik in black and white - just like different energies and shades of gray. Focusing takes practice. Like meditation. Concentrate on a candle and just visualize the flame as the energy. Then direct that flame to do what your purpose is. Evey practitioner will have a different method - you will have to find just what works for you.

i am a man of science but i have seen some freky things in my time, and i would like for somone to do a scientific analysis on charms and spells to see if it can be detected by instruments, and see how magic really works, and maybey some day we may creat instruments thats can replacate or at least amplify magic.

This is not a religious question, but a joke question. If you try to do magic (not magick) it is just a demon or satan helping you. no such thing as magic, sorry.
