If you're right handed you usually use a glove on the left hand. This is probably the dominant hand for holding the club. If the right hand gets a little too much grip it can really effect the shot and it should be a soft grip anyway. You can really alter your shots by using a weak or strong grip. This is done by turning the right hand (if you're right handed) a little to the left for a strong grip and a little to the right for a weak grip. This changes the wrist power.

we golf players only use one glove to protect the hand that is on bottom of the stacked hands more than likely the left hand, because it has the most friction with the club handle. It also helps a golfer get his/ her a better grip on the club handle.

It is because the pressure of a golf swing rsides almost exclusively on one hand. The other hand or off hand is only along fo the ride, but isn;t used for grip.

due to the swing burning the palm of your opposite hand.

in other words, a lefty swing will really only be abrasive to your right hand., . . . . and vice versa. so, since most are righties, most will wear on their left hand.
