Not necesarily. Some anti-immigrationists just feel like there are already enough people in this(or whatever) country.

It would depend on the reason the said person is against immigration. A country can only handle so many immigrants. A Government only has so much warfare to work with. Otherwise a Government sooner or later would be writing checks they can't cash. After all, there are only so many jobs to go around and most require skills that foreign speaking people don't have. Does the word deficit mean anything to you? A person that was against immigration for the sole purpose of protecting the American economy and keeping crime at a low would not be a racist. When I mention keeping crime at a low, this certainly plays a factor in that many immigrants form crime family's as a means of supporting their own as a result of not being a viable job commodity.

First of all let's be clear on this issue: Most people are not against immigration...they are against ILLEGAL immigration. I think most Americans understand that we are all immigrants in the first place. America is made up of people from other nations. But people who want to come to America and make a life (immigrants) need to do so LEGALLY! There is a process, and NO that process is not climbing over a fence at the border. So NO you are NOT RACIST or PREJUDICE just because you demand that people obey our LAWS. We want immigrants, we DON'T WANT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

Yes, however I think that you might be asking the question wrong. Most people aren't against immigration, they are against Illegal Immigration. If you are merely against Illegal immigration, then you are not necessarily racist. You just want to see people use the correct channels to get into the country.

Not necessarily. A person can be against immigration if he/she feels like their country is allowing an over abundance of immigrants to enter their country. legal Immigration can be overly allowed as well as illegal immigration. Because of the lack of law enforcement on the illegal aliens in the USA, we may have the need to tighten our immigration numbers as a whole. Lower the numbers coming into the USA from anywhere, even those attempting to immigrate legally. At least, until the USA can re-coup some of the deficit imposed on us by the illegal alien influx who abused our federally funded services into the BILLIONS annually.

That is a legal vs illegal issue, not a racial issue.

Nope. They're just tired of their country being overpopulated. As if the natives of that country don't reproduce enough on their own.
I am not against LEGAL immigration. If someone wants to come here to make a better life for themselves and their family, good for them, as long as they go about doing it the proper way. I am tired of this longwinded debate on ILLEGAL immigration. They broke the laws of our country by not filling out the proper forms, filing the proper applications, etc. So that makes them a criminal as soon as they cross our border. The country already has enough criminals, without adding to it.

NO sissi.....this is "prejudice" according to Webster....
An adverse judgment or opinion formed beforehand or without knowledge or examination of the facts.
A preconceived preference or idea.
Irrational suspicion or hatred of a particular group, race, or religion.
Detriment or injury caused to a person by the preconceived, unfavorable conviction of another or others.

Anti-illegals are not against the people, their race, their religion or culture.

This issue is simply about the Law of America and is nothing personal. Let them come here legally and you won't hear us complain...illegal is an entirely different matter however.
IT'S NOT PERSONAL, IT'S ILLEGAL!

No one should be against immigration. Illegal immigration is another matter entirely. I have Mexican grandchildren whom I love dearly but I am totally against illegal immigration. I am not a racist.

If you oppose all immigration then perhaps but if you oppose only illegal immigration I cant see how that automatically makes you a racist. The law is the law .

They are not racist- anyone here ILLEGALLY should have to go.

Also, prejudice is formed after the act of prejudging- and most people have seen illegally idiots and statistics like this:

-They are not prejudiced, either. Crying racist or prejudice is just a way that people get attention or try and direct anger/hatred at another person.

No. My mother immigrated from Germany to America when I was a baby, but she did it LEGALLY. She and my sister have their green cards. I hold dual-citizenship. My father was an American stationed in Germany. It's just not fair that other people come to this country without doing what's right.
