Because they dont have the moral standards, no empathy or sympathy, they are selfish and because they see taking advantage as something to be proud of--an accomplishment.

some jaded, misguided people view kindness, generousity or just plain ol' niceness as weakness.
its not your fault, but you should always make it clear that you're kindness is from the heart and that you're not willing to take abuse

people suck...if he/she is getting money from you and acting gracious but have no intention of payingyou back...then run away or fight back! Stay strong sister!
