I have talked this over with my wife and both her and I agree that cyber sex is a form of cheating. Sure it might not be giving ones body to the other person but it is giving ones self in mind to the other person you are cybering with. Just because a few or a great many do not feel that way does not mean it is not so. Sexuality is not only dealing with the body but also with the mind.

Yes cyber sex is cheating. And yes society has sunk that low. Sucks for people who still have high moral values.

Yes, cyber sex is cheating. You are doing something with a COMPLETE STRANGER that you should only be doing with your partner.
Have we as a society gone so far downhill that we
no longer reserve sexual intimacy for our most intimate relationships? It is sorrowing that strangers and people who barely know each other can participate in such intimate acts.
Isn't this just stopping us from developing intimate relationships later down the road? (Because if we take part in such intimate acts, we assume that all relationships should be on this level.) <---not a good idea for developing healthy, intimate relationships.
If someone is participating in cyber sex, they either A) both people have very little morals and their relationship isn't really intimate or B) the person is cheating on their partner.
Intimacy should be saved for those intimate relationships!! It should NOT be shared by two strangers who's only connection is both having a computer and a chat room password!!!

No. It is fantasy, and I for one am not planning to put a leash and collar on my boyfriend and jerk it every time he does something I don't like. If he does it in real life, I'd reconsider, but... he is allowed his fantasies. Most men eventually figure out that cyber sex is pretty boring.
Society may have sunk, but back in the "good old days" women weren't allowed to enjoy sex, control property or vote. Personally, I don't mind the way things are.

Cybersex is cheating only if the partners agree it is not okay, and if the guy goes ahead and does it after promising he won't. Otherwise, different couples set different boundaries. At least with cybersex theres no chance of pregnancy or disease, and it's unlikely that a crazy girl will show up at your door with a gun or anything like that. So it's usually a complete fantasy life, nothing that will ever happen. Kind of like porn (which is not cheating), only interactive (which may be cheating, depending on your limits).

Well I think that it is a form of cheating. We all know what goes on during cyber sex when you are alone and.....And to those that will say it is like watching porn it isn't because you are getting live feedback from a real person. I think that it is cheating!!

It is cheating - just not body to body. It is taking time and thought away from one's partner, and is cheating. Sometimes people who cyber even meet.

cheating is any scenario where you would not tell your partner. it could be anything from having coffee or drinks with someone or holding hands or making out or cyber sex. if you can't or wont tell your mate then it's probably cheating
