i'm not sure i understand what you're asking, but LASIK is to correct someone's vision, so the eyesight would have to be poor to begin with. it doesn't have to be poor for long years before the LASIK.

I'm not sure I understand your question correctly, but you might be asking if the vision would be restored to its full quality after the successful procedure. Well, It should be possible to at least match your spectacle-corrected visual acuity. Some people have a condition called amblyopia, when their brain can not resolve fine details even if the image on the retina is perfect. This may improve in time as some studies suggest once the optics of the eye is fixed with laser.
