I thought I was pregnant, HTP showed negitives, my period came (5 days late) it has been a little unusual, as far a s cramps are worse, blood is a lighter shade of red. and blood clots are present as usual.
However before my period and the day i started, i had such a bad headache, and no matter wehat i too it wouldnt go away.
Anyways, my question is That, i have schedualed a Blood Pregnancy Test and i want to know when is the best time to go. I am currently on my period. Will that affect the results of the blood test? Will a positive show if i am currently on my period? Will it result in a false reading?

no, it does not matter when you go, you are either pregnant or not...hcg levels, (the pregnancy hormone) is what is tested for pregnancy, and it is either there or not, weither you are bleeding or not... i think you should go asap, because if you are pregnant and you are bleeding something could be wrong...

You can still have a period when pregnant, and no, the period will not affect the test-they are looking for hormone levels. Go anyway, if you feel this isn't a normal period.

a blood test tests for a certain hormone, whether you are on your period or not. if you have enough of the hormone (which you should by now if you are indeed pregnant) then it will show up. you can take it as soon as possible, but honestly i dont think you are pregnant.

If you are already on Period why do you need BPT? The presence of Period itself signifies that you are not pregnant. Once you do become pregnant the periods stop, unless there is an abnormality, then you need to consult the doctor

well the same happen to me and it should i wasent so maybe your not so dont worry and no it wont effect the answer to see if your pregent or not just go and do the test and i wish you the best
