And why do you consider yourself a foodie?

I started watching the food network on TV. Then I bought a few cookbooks and started cooking meals from scratch most nights, from fresh ingredients, not frozen or out of cans. Then I started forcing myself to eat foods that I didn't like until I liked them, and making meals that I wouldn't have made before, with out-of-the ordinary ingredients. I also read a few food blogs and try new things when I go out to eat.

yes I am, and it came naturally. I love life, food is life, therefore I am a Foodie. I will try anything once, if I don't like it, never again will i eat. Also check out foodiesmart.com

I became a foodie because of my grandma, who instilled in me a love of cooking. I watch FoodTv, read cookbooks like thay are novels, and even got a culinary education from Sullivan University. My main goal now is helping my daughter, who is two, learn to cook. We are working on cutting out cookies now. She loves it.

I grew up around food/cooking/restaurants. My grandfather owned several restaurants and my grandmother was a Home-EC teacher from New Orleans who enjoyed making EVERYTHING from scratch. Pretty much my entire family just LOVES to eat, especially home-made food.

I love cooking more than I like doing anything else in this world. I LOVE Food Network. It is pretty much all I watch. I hope to one day get enough guts to open my own restaurant and share my love of cooking and food with others.

Yes, definitely. My family is from Italy and I grew up eating all this great traditional Italian food. Then I was lucky enough to marry a guy who is a wonderful cook and who loves food as much as I do.
