We dated for 4 mths but I haven't been able to replace him completely since then, and I'm not sure I want to. I know I should let go but I can't.

Kim is wrong, even if YOU dumped him or it was mutual, sometimes when someone is so special you just can't forget that person. I know from experience...My ex and I had a mutual break up (I was the one to want to break-up and he agreed that that would be for the best) however it's been TWO years and I have not talk to him since..He became the one that got away for me..I am still struggling to get over him..Hoping he'll call me (I know he won't, he's shy)..If you look at my questions, most of them are about him, so you'll get the picture.

Sorry to hear that but you should see other man try hooking up with someone else but try to forget about him that's the best thing to do also hang out with girlfriends go out clubbin meet new men hey you might even find somebody there that eventually will make you forget about this other man. It has been 8yrs at least try to date other people and if it don't work out or don't feel right try to find him.If he haven't moved on maybe yall could try it again.

You have to stop comparing him to other guys that you meet, you have to stop thinking about how wonderful to it be if he were there, stop thinking about all those things that you want to do, stop hoping that you see him or he calls you have to work on putting him out of your head. I say those things because most if not all of us have been there before, so I know what tends to run through your mind even subconsciously.
