From an American perspective, any effect would be so minor as to be non-existent.

In fact, if Mexico were to get it's act together they'd tie the peso to the US dollar. Obviously, for the usual anti-American reasons, this is impossible politically. But it would be great economically as it would ensure that some of the practices of the past would not reoccur.

All Mexicans are allowed to come here unless they've been convicted of a felony. Same for Americans going there.

But to answer your question, the exchange reflects the value the currency on the world market, not the rate of travel of one group.

That they were allowed, wouldn't mean that they would come, however, I would think that 20,000,000 of them would come here. Those would send another 25 to 30 billion dollars back to Mexico, what would make the peso stronger... I think it would go to 8 pesos per dollar.

$a million dollar = 11.ninety seven Mexican Pesos, on the present fee immediately, your fee seems slightly bigger and a financial employer could be a sturdy determination for replacing your Pesos into US funds. Regards, Rain

Tough call...with less Mexicans spending the peso it would devalue more, intrests rates might rise.....i'm not sure though, i'm no economist. But imagine NO one spending the US dollar, it would go down in value drastically...

If all Mexicans came to the US then Mexico would cease to exist. Personally I've never seen a non-country possess currency.

Hey, I know! Let's just let all six-billion people on earth come over and here live. Then everybody will be rich, rich, rich - and we'll live happily ever after.

Right? You.... do believe that? Don't you?
