Swollen fingers is caused by blood moving into them... when you exercise you swing your hands and they are usually pointed to the ground which sends blood right to your finger tips. It's not dangerous it happens to my fingers all the time when I'm hiking.

No it is not dangerous. When you exercise, the blood flows through your body more quickly. Then, heat tends to rise in your body. This will cause swollen fingers, toes, and limbs. This is normal.
For example, to take a ring off the finger, it is a good trick to put the finger under cold water. This slows down the blood flow and "shrinks" the finger to allow the ring to come off.
Just like a ball left out in the heat, it will expand. Then, if you were to take that ball and put it in the fridge, it will shrink.
Same idea.
Prevention? Drink lots of fluid to keep your body temperature down. Take breaks.

Very common problem and not dangerous. You probably swing your arms when you walk. Imagine holding a balloon full of water. If you swing it the water will tend to pool in the most distant part of the balloon. Essentially that is what is happening. The increased gravitational pull of swinging your arms is causing the fluid in your hands to pool. Once you stop the walking, the fluid goes back where it belongs.
You could try walking with small hand weights. Gripping the hand weights will help fight the fluid pooling, as well as increasing your overall aerobic benefit from the walking. But again, it's not dangerous.

It is due to increased blood flow to your extremities (hands and feet). It is normal, don't worry. You can occasionally put your hands on your head and hold them there for a few minutes while you are walking to help prevent swelling. When you get home, run your hands under cold water, that helps too.
Oh yea, and drink lots of water when you excersise in the heat.

you might be folding your hand i am a power lifter and never got swollen fingers or such but if your gripping like a weight or dumbbell really tight it could be that TRY drinking more water to

it's from blood rushing to the extremeties. normal and should go away shortly after you finish exercising

sounds like you have circulation problems. you should go to the doctor and tell them what is going on. and exercising in the heat can kill you.
