When I tried to play it with powerdvd and windows media player it said smth abt invalid or unsupported format.. Then i tried to play it with BSplayer and it played but only for the first 30 seconds and then it stopped..
Anyways i wanted to delete the crappy thing when it told me it's being used by another program.. So i restarted my computer and tried again but still it wouldn't delete.. Then i booted my computer in safe mode but still it said a program is using it :S

What can i do? I need to delete it because everytime i access the file now my computer goes reeeeeeeeeally slowly and buggy!!

this sounds like it might have been a trojan. If you don't have it already, download Avast for free from http://www.download.com/ and run a boot time scan using it. If it finds that the file is a virus it will remove it.

If that doesn't work, bring up the task manager (in XP and 2000 just right click the task bar and select task manager). go to the processes tab and look for anything odd. end that task and try to delete the program.

sounds like you downloaded a virus or some form of malware in addition to your file. If booting to safe mode wasn't enough to delete it try updating your virus definitions then run a full system scan. You may also want to install anti-spyware software if you don't already have it and run that as well. If THAT doesn't work you can try manually ending processes in task manager until you nail the process that's holding the file "open" although I don't suggest it. If none of the above nets results then it's time to cut a copy of your files to a CD and format the HDD then reinstall your OS and applications. Good Luck!

Try doing a system restore to a day before you downloaded the movie. Then delete the movie if this didnt already do so.
Another thing you can try is to go into msconfig and remove all startup items and reboot your computer and try to delete it then.
One of those two things should do the trick.

what i normally do is use my dos boot disk to boot my computer into dos mode, from there i can delete whatever i want, but as others have previously mentioned it was probably a virus/trojan that was installed, if it is windows xp, get microsoft's program 'windows defender' its free for valid copies of windows and i am certain it will root the problem out for you
