I think Gandhi said it best...
I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians, they are so unlike your Christ.

I don't hate or dislike Christians (in general, at least... there are a few I dislike), but I can understand why many do. It's not justified, but it's usually based upon interactions with certain Christians who are too judgmental or try to force their faith on them.
A perfect example: When I was born, I was very ill. My aunt went so far as to say "I guess God didn't mean for you to have a child." Can you IMAGINE hearing that while your baby is 4 hours old in surgery to repair a diaphragmatic hernia?
Luckily my mother is not one to use one experience to judge a whole community of people, but many people do. And if they met my aunt, and they use her as their prime example, they would most likely dislike Christians.
(Not justifying their actions, but just stating a likely reason.)
And I have to say that my only issue with SOME Christians is when they judge others based upon the Bible, and yet the Bible tells them it is not their job to judge. Oh, and when they stand on the street screaming at you that you're going to hell, etc.

Growing up, I often found myself disliking Christians. The reason is because so many I encountered were aggressive, judgmental, and narrow minded, and essentially would tell me that if I did not follow their religion (which was clearly giving them much peace?), I would burn in hell.
Well, lo and behold, I am now a Christian (albeit a progressive one), and I find I am still turned off by those who follow a literalistic, exclusive form of Christianity.
What led me to becoming a Christian was not John 3:16, or the fear that I might "burn in hell" if I didn't convert.
I am a Christian because it brings me closer to the loving, forgiving God I believe in, the one who Jesus refers to in the story of the Prodigal Son.
Many more people, I believe, would have a more positive view of Christians/Christianity if the light we shined was not one of judgment and fear but rather peace and compassion.

I don't hate or dislike christians in general. What I don't like are christians who force their beliefs on others and judge without knowledge. I know that the bible tells christians to go out and convert but most don't want to be converted and if that means damnation in the eyes of christians that is there choice to make and they should be alowed to make it without pressure from any religous group.

I dislike christianity - the theory, the dogma - but I don't hate or dislike the christian. I consider people for whom they are as a person not what belief system they follow.

I'm a muslim and I don't hate christians.
I've seen that Arab christians are more friendly and close to Muslims than christians from America, India, Philippines ..etc.
I think the answer to this is that Arab christians understands the Quran which is recited by their muslim neighbours, but the non Arabs get a wrong translation/media sources and they think that muslims hate them.

...because I was a christian for 15 years. Everything I hate about christians and christianity now, is actually a reflection of my past- I hate now what I was then. My life is so much better now...

Dislike, not hate.
They act like they think they are mini-gods. Who thinks there brain is superior to mine for no other reason than, it's written in a book.
That is a very annoying and self destructive to say the least. I like people who are on their own side, not behaving like their own enemy. Original sin is like a time bomb within. Dis-lodge it and spit it out!
You might as well have asked: why do you dislike suicidal people?
